If this account is true, the specific Uighur perpetrators should be hunted down and processed as involuntary organ donors, Chinese-style (preferably while mostly conscious). Having said that, rebels in just about all the European colonies did similar things to European settlers during various revolts. These acts* do not invalidate the Uighur claim to national sovereignty, especially given that the Chicoms invaded East Turkistan in the late 1940's, even as the Brits were in the process of granting India's (and various other colonies') independence.

* The Chinese Communist themselves used to kill entire landlord families during the process of conquering China so that Mao Zedong could indulge his pedophilic tastes.
