Everyone wants to write their congressman (person) when they are displeased with the way things are going.
When that does not work (and it won't) many choose to demonstrate at their local city offices or state capital. Others take the time to actually travel to the seat of the real problem - Washington DC.
When that does not work (and it never does) what is left to do. Just do it all over again and again and again........
Let me tell you a tale of Bill Clinton, an ambassador buddy of his (that was one of his anti-Vietnam war buddies) who died while working (if you really call it work). What I know from experience is that there is 2-3 % actual work involved and their administrators do most of that. The rest is meeting, greeting, and of course - partying.
anyway - when this lowlife came back to the US his wish was to be buried in Arlington cemetery. Good ol boy Bill jumped at it and it was a done deal. Little did Bill realize that Veterans would be upset because of two things. (1) He was in no way, shape or form a veteran. (2) He was an antiwar hippy dippy.
Meanwhile back at the ranch, some vets got together and sent out emails that said "Bring a shovel and a gun" we are going to dig the bastard up and if we have to defend ourselves to do so, expect the worst and hope for the best.
This email I received at approximately 6PM one evening and I stayed online sending and receiving emails helping to plan and coordinate this action. I took some time to pack and clean my guns but most of the time I was contacting other vets and helping to coordinate the "visit" to Arlington cemetery.
We were to meet there at 8AM EST (as I recall). I was about to go pull out when the word came from the original guys that organized the (can I say - Trip to Washington?). The first to arrive would probably arrive and take command of the entrances to the cemetary. Those that came later would secure the plot of the "Bastard" in question. When we had full control we would then dig the "Bastard" up and at that time we would make the decision as what to do with it at that time.
We knew two things. (1)When the press got wind of what had happened we could better effect the proper disposal of said "Bastard" (2)We were also aware of the fact that we had over 10,000 committed Veterans who pledged their lives and fidelity to the cause. (About this fact there were two subsets of facts that we took into consideration - (1) if even 1/10th of those Vets actually showed up, there would still be over 1,000 and with that many armed "Veterans" that would most likely set off such an alarm that the American Citizens would be given cause to join us. (2)The accelerating emails and email responses were capable of bringing not thousands but million of Veterans and citizens to Arlington.
We were told to hold off for that evening and that by 8AM the next day we would be given more information. All we were told was that there were "circumstances" which were directly affecting this whole plot. Nothing specific was mentioned, but I think we also knew that the FBI, CIA and the US Military had to have been alerted and "concerned"!
When I got up early next morning and logged on I already got the news that "Bill's Friend" had been exhumed at about 3PM EST and shipped to California by 6PM EST.
We were thanked (collectively) by those that organized the whole action and we never heard from them again.
I often wondered what happened to them but if anything bad had of happened I'm sure the word would have gotten out and we would once again be reactivated.
It is obvious to everyone (anyway - everyone I personally knew) that the government (i.e. - Bill Clinton) and EVERYONE down line from him, were scared and quaking in their boots. They wanted it to pass quietly and it did.
We all noticed a change in policies by both the Clinton Administration and the Congress immediately thereafter.

Folks. Time has passed and their memories have faded. They have forgotten about that day and have again turned against the citizens of this country "once again".
My question to you is this - Are you going to continue writing worthless letters to your congressman. Are you going to continue demonstrating at your local City, County, State and Federal Offices?
When are you going to do what is necessary?

That question has been on my mind for some years now and I believe there must be couragous, honorable, trustworthy leaders first, or should be. There can be a flashpoint where the populace rises in sheer anger without leadership; but to continue the cause, there must be men and women with the same character as our founding fathers and with the same vision ... and decency.
The folks that organized the Bring a gun and a shovel for a visit - I hope they’re still around because we may need them again.

I appreciate the service of ALL these people, and their readiness to stand against the injustice of the Clinton regime in the case mentioned. I am proud that they continue to stand ready to defend freedom and “do what is necessary.”
I must also respectfully suggest that the time for “guns and shovels” is nearing, and I fear it may be inevitable. Still, many are not ready to jettison all hope of returning the Federal Government to sanity via the ballot box. I would urge ALL patriotic Americans to remain alert, prepare for the worst — but work FOR a positive change in Washington DC through the ballot box in 2010!
No, I would agree that it is a long shot, that there isn’t “much” hope — but let’s exhaust every peaceful possibility before we consider any other alternatives. And, it remains quite possible that some “emergency” or “crisis” will emerge to “pre-empt” those elections — in which case, all bets are off and we will be left no other alternatives....

No man thinks more highly than I do of the patriotism, as well as abilities, of the very worthy gentlemen who have just addressed the House. But different men often see the same subject in different lights; and, therefore, I hope that it will not be thought disrespectful to those gentlemen, if, entertaining as I do opinions of a character very opposite to theirs, I shall speak forth my sentiments freely and without reserve.
This is no time for ceremony. The question before the House is one of awful moment to this country. For my own part I consider it as nothing less than a question of freedom or slavery; and in proportion to the magnitude of the subject ought to be the freedom of the debate. It is only in this way that we can hope to arrive at truth, and fulfill the great responsibility which we hold to God and our country.
