Here's what Denise O'Leary said on the Uncommon Descent Website with respect to Wikipedia and Intelligent Design:
"Of course, anyone familiar with the intelligent design controversy will be well aware of the waste of time associated with trying to get reasonably neutral information posted (on Wikipedia).
To me, the scandal is not that the trolls are running the pedia, but that profs actually send their students there for information."

If you Google it, there are colleges that do not allow the use of wikipedia.

This makes them sound like the contributors are largely academic intellectuals who know their subject matter.
Maybe some are.
But by-and-large they are leftist revisionists who slant practically every article to their leaning one way or another.

As a
former Wikipedia administrator, I find the report's findings to be remarkably accurate. That being said, Wikipedia is dominated by a minority of egotistical leftists and "inclusionists." (Inclusionists are "Wikipedians" who insist that if something exists, it should be included. Somewhat like the people that figure if you're in this country, no matter how you got here, you should be allowed to stay and to get all the benefits of citizenship.) Clearly, I was somewhat of an outcast and, after enough beating-head-against-wall sessions, I threw in the towel and administrator "bit."
Oh, and by the way, the Australian Wikipedia admin "Daniel" quoted in the article is someone who might be called a "moderate" in US political terms.

Have you thought about going over to “Conservapedia”????
To: GodGunsGuts
Freerepublic needs a Wikipedophile filter.
Wiki is so subjective that it can only serve to reduce the credibility of a thread to allow a wiki article to be posted.
And while we’re at it, there a a number of heavily used images that should also be filtered.
We need more quality, and credibility.

"

Well, it’s like I always say about Wikipedia - when you have an encyclopedia that anyone can edit, anyone will.
