The Dow, S&P and Nasdaq each gained Wednesday, led by commodity stocks; Alcoa is poised to report earnings after the bell. Oil fell on economic fears as some called for controls on speculation-driven prices.

I love Art Cashin. He is as old as the hills but he usually has some good quips and knows his stuff.
I could not disagree more.
Didn’t see your post, sorry about that.
He will be quickly neutered just Rick Santelli. CNBC was told to go easy on Odumbo. That goofball on primetime with the glasses is twisting himself in knots to say the recession is over. LOL yeah sure.
That’s your right. Go ahead and follow his ‘Advice’ - That is if you can dechipher any from his ramblings.
Cashin has always been straight forward and isn’t shy to say what’s on his mind. I don’t believe he ever crowed about Obama. He gets paid by UBS. Is he on the CNBC payroll??
It’s well known that most analysts and experts have a hard time beating an index.
As for the stimulus package being a hoax, we all could have told you that, and did a long time ago.
Considering he’s not constitutionally qualified to be POTUS, I’d say the whole hussein administration is a hoax.
(Stimulus Package WAS a ‘Hoax’)
Correction: Stimulus Package IS a ‘Hoax’.
I respect Art, I always listen to what he has to say
I don’t think so. Art along with Rick and Haines are the only straight talkers.
Mark Haines laughed at Peter Schiff 2 years ago. He’s a tool.
Who Could Have Guessed the First Stimulus Package Wouldn't Work? Almost Everybody!
One of the good things about putting pen to paper every day is that your thoughts (and the thought of others) are in hard copy. Not only are you denied deniability, you have a record of what the thinking was at a specific moment, unclouded by the conveniently malleable mists of memory.
Tuesday morning on CNBC's Squakbox, Carl Quintanilla asked me what I thought of a possible "second" stimulus package. I replied that the purported "first" stimulus package had been either a delusion or an intellectual fraud.
Cashin then referenced his original comments titled, The Non-Stimulating Stimulus Package.
Art Cashin is astute, consistent and funny.
