Can I write gibbs announcement from on high? The big 0 is “deeply saddened” and......a tough note written with crayon from the U.N. to follow.

I’m surprised at The Telegraph.

That vid - it’s Korean news footage - was posted on YouTube at least 24 hours ago, and several times since then.

It will be interesting to see how the Chinese deal with their Muslim problem.

Gimme a break, there isn’t a leader on this earth who will dare criticize our new overlords, the Maoist Chinese.

An excellent Youtube video from a New Yorker (New Jerseyan?) explaining the Chinese equivalent of Hamas's Pallywood productions. The Chinese should know, given how they're such enthusiastic supporters of Hamas, and how Chinese language TV is always talking (in disapproving tones) about alleged Israeli atrocities against Palestinians (not to mention alleged US atrocities against Iraqis and Afghans).

Here are some of the Chinese comments about the guy who produced the video:

If you are on a street anywhere in China and speak like this, people will beat you to death. mother****

CIA is sponsoring Uyghur World Congress. This terror organization even has a headquarter in DC paid by tax dollars. Remember Bin Laden, he was paid with US tax dollars too, he just turned out to be the mastermind to blow up World Trade Center.

the riot is managed by CIA, aimed to beat chinese dollar's challenge. strategy copied from kosovo in yogoslovia, aimed to beat Euro. 7.5 riot in xinjiang 7.6 chinese dollar internatinalized contract 7.8 G8 summit its all about US Dollar domination. Rebiya is a US citizen now. and you are just so annoying like you know everything..... why dont you talk about Texas Republic then? anyway

Fck Uighur and Taliban! Fck American and German Nazis behind this event!

This is the only video the Chinese authorities will allow out. The reason they’re clamping down on journalists is so they can frame this as an Uighur massacre of ordinary Chinese. Think of it as the second coming of the Chinese massacre of Tibetans. It wouldn’t surprise me to see Chinese extras get up and wipe fake blood off their faces. Remember - the Chinese are the ones with the uniforms and the automatic rifles.

Some photos of “the ones with the uniforms and the automatic rifles”
WARNING:GRAPHIC photos of the Chinese with “fake blood” on their faces and “pretended to be corpses”.

In fact most of this kind of photos and videos post on Chinese mainland forums are deleted quickly by the censors and comments of the riot are tightly restricted. Yesterday I saw a video on a Chinese youtube-like website which said to be some Uighur college students killing Han students, since it was quite blurred i decided to see it again only to find it deleted in a minute.
The so called ethnic minority preferential policy made by CCP hurts Han Chinese in a way while the minorities don’t see how benefit from it,but in this event the authority probably try to prevent further reasonless hatred toward the whole Uighur population whom from my perception most are peaceful and innocent, though you may argue if CCP really care about the Uighur people. No, whether it care or not has nothing to do with the purpose of government to seek stableness of this complicated west region. In realistic sense, do you realy think ordinary Uighur people could benefit if further riots and ethnic clashes spread, or you just feel happy that Han Chinese people would also suffer at the same time?
Somehow I am a little curious if you hate Han Chinese people so much why descend to an ID of a Han Chinese name same with a general who spent his whole life conquering and battling to reunite China?

Families reunite. Empires are the product of bloodshed and destruction. This was a power grab, pure and simple. Zhang Fei did not spend his whole life trying to "reunite" China. He spent it trying to help an ambitious shoe-maker, Liu Bei, conquer an empire that had reverted to its component kingdoms.

I chose the nym Zhang Fei because it's clearly not a personal name (at least to Dynasty Warrior aficionados). Why a Chinese nym? I'm an avid China watcher. Why China? Let me give you a clue - I used to be an avid Russia watcher.

And by the way, I don't *hate* Chinese. I know plenty of Chinese, from my college days, from work, plus I've attended enough conversational Chinese classes to be semi-fluent into two Chinese languages. Why would I spend time getting to know a culture and a people that I hate? I dislike their double standards, their prejudices and their superiority complex. But hate? That's an emotion that the Chinese feel for (and impute to) anyone who disagrees with them on national interest and territorial issues. The closest analogue to the way I feel about China would be John Derbyshire of the National Review. He's an avid China critic, but also a fan of aspects of the culture and history, while being an ardent defender of the nations that were conquered by China in the mid-20th century while European countries were giving the countries in their centuries-old empires their independence.
