A record uptick in Rasmussen's Presidential Approval Index portends disturbing news for the Hopey-Changey brigades. This is the first time that the index has gone so sharply negative.

Other trends in this latest polling round include:

• Fifty-four percent (54%) say the average Democrat in Congress is more liberal than they are, while 36% believe the average Republican congressman is more conservative.
• Among all voters, Republicans now have a three-point edge on the Generic Congressional Ballot.
• Just 27% of voters nationwide favor passage of a second economic stimulus package. Sixty percent (60%) are opposed.
• An early look at the 2012 race for the Republican nomination shows Mitt Romney at 25%, Sarah Palin at 24%, and Mike Huckabee at 22%. Forty percent (40%) of GOP voters say that Palin hurt her chances of winning the nomination by resigning as Alaska’s Governor last week.

This month’s unemployment figures are going to be a turning point. They will be bad and the lack of other good news will drag the market down into the 7000’s again.
This afternoon..Jim Kramer, lifelong Rat, gave a list of things Zero was doing to kill jobs and the economy. He pleaded for some positive words from El Presidente..he ask for more lies to try and revitalize the market in the face of obvious failure of the Porkulus Bill and the negative effect of all the pending legislation. Kramer will be in the woodshed tonight,but he had to say this or loose all credibility with his audience. There just aren’t any “green shoots” out there.

I really hope the 2010 Congressional elections show a real change in the House and Senate. I had not heard of Michelle Bachmann until some of her questioning on a committee was on TV. She kicked butt! Then I heard her on Beck’s show talking about the intrusive census questions. Again, she spoke my language like Sarah does.

My husband, who never encouraged me to send any politician a donation, told me to write a big check for Sarah after he heard her first national speech when McCain announced her as running mate. She’s a special woman. I have a feeling Michelle Bachmann is cut from the same cloth.
