There is more to numbers than your interpretation. Put me in the camp that believes quitting anything is wrong. (call it "resigning" if you prefer -- that's a semantic argument and a distinction without a difference.) I also don't like Obama.

You don't like "quitting" do you.

To be honest, until the Congress and the Senate grow a backbone, it really won't matter who the President is.

Your statement is ironic.

If she'd been allowed to do her job, without the distraction of petty, vindictive, and frivolous lawsuits, she'd have stayed for the full four years.

Oh, cry me a river! Good grief. She gives up because the press were mean to her, so now she's going to become Prez and the press will play nicey-nicey? It'll only get worse. What's she going to do then? Give up again?

Sorry. I don't back quitters.

someone brought up a good poinjt the other day- mainly that Sarah simply does not sound presidential, and people NEED someone who ‘sounds presidential’ and can rise above attacks on them instead of whining about them-

I haven't heard Sarah whine ONCE. Complain, yes, as she has every right to do. Whine, not at all. In fact, she's made it clear she's turning the tables. That's why she was under attack all weekend.

As for 'sounding Presidential', just what exactly does that mean? Does it mean using 'Easter vocabulary', as an English professor of mine used to say? Fine words are nice, but if there's no truth or meaning behind them, they're useless. Does it mean not stumbling over one's words? I don't think there is anyone alive, who speaks contemporaneously, who has not done that.

From what I've seen, Sarah Palin is an EXCELLENT public speaker, who can truly engage a crowd. She may have stumbled a time or two in interviews, but who doesn't? And when she's finished speaking, her listeners can tell you what she said, and what she meant. That, in stark contrast to those who listed to That One during the campaign, who, when asked how they liked his view on issues, said they don't remember what he said about any issues, but he just make them FEEL so good.

We've had silver tongued Presidents who lied with almost every utterance. Do we need more of them, because they're well spoken? Frankly I'd rather have someone who stumbled in their speech every now and then, as long as they revere the Constitution, and keep us safe from our enemies.

Some of Sarah's problem in 2008 was just inexperience with the national media. Well, she received a Baptism of Fire in that campaign, and she's made it clear, with her resignation speech, that she's not playing their game anymore.

The MSM, and the Democrat and Republican elites are afraid of her, and what she represents; and they SHOULD be.

I don’t think Sarah will start a third party BUT I do think she will turn the GOP on its head.

That is my hope.

Quit. Resigned. Same thing. We made fun of Clinton for parsing words like this. Palin couldn’t even finish one term as Governor of Alaska. The libs will hammer her on that if she runs for President. She couldn’t handle 4 years in Alaska; how will she handle for years in the White House?

If Sarah is leaving to run for president, then she of course isn't quitting the fight, she is instead intesifying her effors.

Wouldn't you agree?

She should start a third party and break the two party monopoly on elections. She has the popularity and support to run a campaign like Perot did if not stronger. The Party bosses don’t want her and quite frankly don’t deserve her. Why should she have to answer to their platform and moderate herself to their talking points?

ACORN's "Secretary of State" project kind of flew under the radar. They are following Stalin's advice of "those who cast the votes decide nothing, those who count the votes [or decide which votes count] decide everything".

Folks really ought to spend some time investigating the Secretary of State Project.

"So what is The Secretary of State Project? It’s not the latest movie starring Will Smith, it is a plan to elect Democrats to the position of Secretary of State in all 50 states. For it is the Secretaries of State who help to shape the election process in their state. All rivers flow through them and if you can take control of the process, you can take control of the results."

Part Two: The Secretary of State Project

Rintense has agreed to start a daily dose of Sarah, the day she becomes a private citizen...She’ll need some help posting....although I think from reading here and other places on FR that won’t be a problem

There is also a freeper group started over at TeamSarah.org Join us there too.

To: kristinn; All

I have to post this...this was sent to me the other day as another argument to those who want to say that Palin is a quitter...by another Freeper and I think this individual hits the nail on the head....

From: NurdlyPeon-”So she’s a “quitter”, huh? Well let me ask you a question: Have you ever told a lie in you entire life? Even one? Have you ever stolen anything in your entire life? Anything? (Hint, the only person who can answer “no” to both those questions died about 2000 years ago.) So, since you have lied, you are a “liar”. And since you have probably stolen, you are a “thief”. So, here we have a liar and a thief (that’s you) calling Sarah a “quitter”. Do you get the idea of what I am trying to say here? You are taking one incident that is technically true (yes, she did “quit” her job) and trying to turn that into a broad characterization of an entire person. But, I’ll tell you what I will do for you. I’ll admit to Sarah being a “quitter”, if you’ll admit to being a liar and a thief. Fair enough?”

Palin is the winnowing fork. We will all be separated, wheat from chaff, sheep from goats.

In a room full of strangers, just the mention of "Sarah Palin" tends to separate the wheat from the chaff. Sure simplifies the socializing process.

Thanks for the info! I thought I'd joined Team Sarah, but maybe I meant to, but never did. I'll check it out!

Fred and Jeri Thompson were big supporters of her, when she was the Veep candidate. I'm hoping they'll connect back with her in her 'doings' once she's a private citizen again.
