Palin's Popularity in GOP Soars After Quitting
Cleveland Leader ^ | Wednesday, July 8, 2009

Posted on 07/08/2009 8:13:03 AM PDT by kristinn

Apparently Sarah Palin's decision to quit her post as Governor of Alaska wasn't as misguided as it sounded at first, because it has certainly already begun to work it's magic on winning over the Republican party. According to a new USA Today/Gallup Poll, her popularity has surged amongst Republicans since she made the announcement.

71 percent of Republicans said they would vote for Palin if she ran for president in 2012, and three-fourths believe that Palin has been treated unfairly by the media.

Two-thirds of Republicans want Palin to be "a major national political figure" in the future, while three-fourths of Democrats are hoping that she won't be. Independents by 55%-34% would prefer she leave the national stage.

My, I may have a tingle going up my leg!
Seriously, She stands for most things conservatives want. Now if they will support her and stop bickering amongst themselves. That is how Zero got elected. I see many folks who see any little insignificant detail as a reason not to support someone. Jesus is not running. The opposition doesn’t have that problem. They will ALL support any scumbag with a D behind their name.

Sarah is taking charge of the GOP!

If she does, she'll have to do to the GOP what Jesus did to the money changers.

In her own words she resigned so Alaska could get out from under the crushing weight of the overwhelming bogus ethics charges from degenerate liberals, and the state could move forward with the agenda she had set for it.

She also said she could move forward helping others in a bigger way to forward that same agenda in the greater United States.

That's what she said, only the MSM and people who don't listen are saying "she quit".

"...and three-fourths believe that Palin has been treated unfairly by the media."

the remaining 25% obviously weren't paying attention.

This move is preventing the ‘train wreck’ that the left had planned. Stopped it dead.

Quit. Resigned. Same thing. We made fun of Clinton for parsing words like this. Palin couldn't even finish one term as Governor of Alaska. The libs will hammer her on that if she runs for President. She couldn't handle 4 years in Alaska; how will she handle for years in the White House?

My feelings EXACTLY!

Hit her with everything we have: Maureen Dowd of the New York Times, taking a beer-run break from her quixotic search for Mr. Right to drip venom on Sister Sarah ... "David Kahane" NRO.

Yes, there is bickering in the GOP but that is not how Obama got elected...

ACORN and 0bama and Alinsky tactics can magically overnight cause atleast three states to have 2 weeks of early voting with no state voting laws being enforced (Barney Rubble could have voted at my voting place) with ACORN promising young college kids a free lap-top in Ohio to go vote a straight DEMOCRAT party ticket...and various other college towns pimping the vote the same way with numerous first time voting college students voting way more than once... and 0bama STOLE military towns in yankee Fla. and the Norf. Va. area...

Presumably, as President, she wouldn’t have to fund the legal expenses to fight frivolous lawsuits that put her family in debt. That’s just one way things would be different. Or do some wish to conveniently ignore that detail she cited as a cause for leaving?

"she'll have to do to the GOP what Jesus did to the money changers."

She did it twice in Alaska. Those were her training missions. Now is for keeps!

“conservative elitist” is somewhat akin to the oxymoron of “liberal Christian”.

“Elitist” is a mindset that says that some are well enough equipped, morally and intellectually, to make detailed decisions for others better than those they are making the decisions for.

early voting with no state voting laws being enforced

ACORN's "Secretary of State" project kind of flew under the radar. They are following Stalin's advice of "those who cast the votes decide nothing, those who count the votes [or decide which votes count] decide everything".

See, this is why I no longer offer advice to Sarah. She’s way smarter than me when it comes to politics!
