Not having talked to the governor, I take 2012 off the table right now simply because given everything she's going through personally ....

Best endorsement yet.
Hopefully Palin will take the OP off her table.
Agreed. Steele, time for you to do something else. Gov. Palin, might you be interested in a job?
Actually let him say this. Shhh. That way the left will be caught by surprise when she does run.
Looks like Steele is already trying some damage control by striking pro-Palin tones:
Michael Steele to Sarah Palin: ‘Sarah, come on in’

He is an idiot. V’s wife.
I don’t know how he can make any speculation whatsoever, since, you know, Sarah HAS a spine and Steele’s been without one for quite some time.
UPDATE: Steele spokeswoman Gail Gitcho e-mails: "Steele was saying this morning that TALKING about 2012 is off the table â because she has make it clear that resigning was a personal decision and has little to do with future aspirations. Palin has said that everything is on the table. Steele takes no issue with that."
Then you are speculating like everyone else Mr. Steele
Not having talked to her.
Gee these establishment politicians really are jerks.
Politicians have become less and less intelligent, no one is holding them to high standards, it’s really sad to watch.
Steele is a DNC plant....what a buffoon
Then I might actually care what he thinks.
But I could not care less what Mr. Steele has to say.
LOL - the inherent contradiction that Steele takes no issue with Palin saying everything is on the table, right after he's stated that she's "off the table for 2012" because of her stated personal reasons for resigning... Well, let's just say that it is mind boggling that people can accept this kind of illogical, nuanced political backstabbing at face value.
"Steele was saying this morning that TALKING about 2012 is off the table! because she has make it clear that resigning was a personal decision and has little to do with future aspirations. Palin has said that everything is on the table. Steele takes no issue with that."
Well, Mr, Steele, I really don’t give a flying fig what you say
Go Sarah, mix it up, keep them guessing and go for it! We are with you! It is time for a REAL change.
No one wants Sarah to run except...American citizens.
In my opinion, Sarah has set a standard that not many politicians are able to match.
The chattering classes and run-of-the-mill politicians just can’t fathom anyone caring more about the citizens they were elected to serve than their own personal ambitions.
