VATICAN CITY (Reuters) - Pope Benedict called on Tuesday for a "world political authority" to manage the global economy and for more government regulation of national economies to pull the world out of the current crisis and avoid a repeat.
The pope made his call for a re-think of the way the world economy is run in a new encyclical which touched on a number of social issues but whose main connecting thread was how the current crisis has affected both rich and poor nations.
Parts of the encyclical, titled "Charity in Truth," seemed bound to upset free marketeers because of its underlying rejection of unbridled capitalism and unregulated market forces, which he said had led to "thoroughly destructive" abuse of the system.
The pope said every economic decision had a moral consequence and called for "forms of redistribution" of wealth overseen by governments to help those most affected by crises.
Benedict said "there is an urgent need of a true world political authority" whose task would be "to manage the global economy; to revive economies hit by the crisis; to avoid any deterioration of the present crisis and the greater imbalances that would result."

I don't have a problem with that, but that is not what I thought you were saying. When you used the word, "socialism" it evokes certain political conotations.
Enter the Pope. The Pope look everyone we should want to strive to treat all as equals. To love thy neighbor. To not be greedy. The Pope should say to CEO’s. Look hey guys we don’t care if you make alot of money but why not share that wealth with your workers?

I think individuals should want to “share the wealth”. It doesn’t requirement Governments to forcibly redistribute wealth.

No, that wouldn't be bad at all. You might want to consider, though, the economic benefits generated even by an evil rich guy's building of a 50 million dollar house, would necessarily employ a lot of people, which is also a good thing.
Economic equality is members of society not abusing their power and position for ridiculous fortunes that were far out of the realm of reasonable.
It depends on who is deciding what is "reasonable".
Greed is a horrible horrible thing in this world.. but I’m not saying Governments should force people not to be greedy. What I’m saying is that the Pope has every right to encourage the world to work together more.
I can agree with you on that. It's just when the Pope starts talking about redistribution of wealth (by force of government - if that's the what the Pope really means; i.e., if it's not just the doublespeak of a bunch of crazy Italians) that I stray off the plantation.

Actually, the revealing of the man of sin will be well down the road of the establishment of the global government.
The global government has been in power, under the table for many decades, at least.

I don’t see it that way.
He will control those organizations.
However, his chief and major empowerment is satan himself, of course—essentially being satan incarnate . . .
His influence with and through the religious organizations will be . . . ‘merely’ . . . his tentacles reaching out through all spheres of society—particularly religious—bending them toward the utter submission to and worship of himself.

Religious/Christian org empowerments to him will be . . . significant in a sense . . . just as the MSM’s empowerment of OThuga has been significant. But all that will only be a significant component . . . probably not even driving the train, per se.

I posted a whole thread analysis of the encyclical before this last one with a strong critique of the Pope/Vatican on just those issues.

There’s no way any branch of organized Christianity will control the beast. The beast already controls many such spheres in a growing list of “Christian” organizations.
I was dismayed that a UN globalist friend of mine ranked so high up in World Vision as one of their most successful fund raisers. He was on a Methodist church board and confessed that he didn’t even know/believe that Jesus was God! Incredible. Supposedly he repented and confessed Christ before he died.
