Yeah let’s squeeze the job creators and small businesses even more so they’ll just lay more people off. Obama might get credit for being this smart and brilliant individual but he’s got the common sense of a cheetoe.

My kids make $235K married and can’t afford to buy a house in Arlington VA where they live.

I have friends living in Arlington. The average rents for two-bedroom apartments are in the $2,000+/month range. It's a shock to folks from other parts of the country, where a nice house can be had for $100K. Of course, the unemployment rates in Northern Virginia are below six percent right now.

It’s all a matter of where you live, and being in the pool above 200k (N. VA), I find it outrageous. I can honestly tell you in speaking from Northern VA that 200k is not wealthy at all. I can’t afford a house in the area using sound financial judgment. (No more than 25% house payment/month) and they want to squeeze more money out of me? For who? The issue always comes down to...

What about those who perform and get promotions? WHY in the hell would you EVER WANT to? Why would I WANT to work harder? Why put in extra hours, why?

We need to repeal the income tax, don’t even talk to me about a “Fair Tax” and put in place a reduced government that is a Fraction of the current size. Government doesn’t need Tax dollars, it needs fiscal responsibility, increased citizen production; it can print it’s own money based on our production to accommodate a fiscally responsible budget. Why does the Government borrow from the Fed, when the Government makes the money? Hmm... Our whole system needs such a major overhaul I fear that none of us have the stomach for what needs to happen. Think about a government budget that was always a FIXED% of GDP, where production rules, new ideas and productive drivers cherished, and laziness and apathy are punished.

Stimulate production damn it! Don’t stifle it! Make people want to work harder, make me want to start a new business based on low-cost of entry. The more they take from me to give to someone else... well there is only so much I’m willing to do, after that I’ll be damned for what I’ll do.

net net of my point... Government stay the hell out of my way, and let me succeed based only on my mind, work ethic, and ability!

“So they want to tax (some of) us to fix a health care program that is not broken and one that 87% of the general population doesn’t want. We need to get these arseholes out of Washington.”

When unemployment officially reaches 12%(it is already,Obama is cooking the books), we will march on DC. to get rid of the Dictator. Otherwise, we are finished!

Why socialism/communism always fails.

As far as I can tell it was this group that funded Obama, supported Obama and voted for Obama.
Let them pay up.

Making $200k/year makes one “rich??” HA!!

What about the guy that makes $80K one year, $200K the next, and back to $80K in the following? (Oh, and he has 4 kids and his wife is a stay at home mother)

“Move every dime you can into a Roth IRA.”

Careful FRiend. There’s stuff in the works in the House to turn “your” 401K/Roth money into a cash cow for the government.

I put the max in my 401K the first year it started, and then, they changed the rules.

It isn’t “your” money. It’s “yours” for as long as they allow it.

Dunno. Bro’s in ElPaso and can’t give his house away. He’s desperate to get out of there.

A tax on income is not a tax on wealth. Democrats should stop lying about taxing the wealthy since they have no intention of doing so. Do you think John Kerry, Ted Kennedy, Barbara Boxer, Diane Feinstein, Maria Cantwell, et al would vote for a tax on wealth? Not a chance.

Someone please make this stop. Everyday I’m scared to read what the lowlifes in the O admin and the Dems are up to.

I know how you feel. My life changed forever in Nov. 2009. I have never felt this way about other Democrats so it’s not a party issue. These people are trying to destroy this country and he never plans to leave the WH.

We've already gotten a tax increase. Last year, I got a $600 tax rebate. This year, I only got a $400 rebate. Thus, I will be paying $200 more in taxes this year than last year.

I actually have lefties tell me that ‘my money’ is actually OUR money(as in society’s money) and that it is a MORAL obligation that society help out those who cannot help themselves.

Collectivists live in a Utopian dreamland and are turning our reality into a fricken nightmare.

Is anyone surprised about this? I’m guessing that there might even be limits on what kinds of insurance coverage people can choose, or mechanisms that force people into Prescription Drug Coverage they neither want nor need. That’s what happened with Romneycare, here in MA.

We need to stop allowing the media to get away with referring to high income earners as “wealthy”. They are NOT the same.
