Al Gore today compared the battle against climate change with the struggle against the Nazis.
The former US Vice President said the world lacked the political will to act and invoked the spirit of Winston Churchill by encouraging leaders to unite their nations to fight climate change.
He also accused politicians around the world of exploiting ignorance about the dangers of global warming to avoid difficult decisions.
Speaking in Oxford at the Smith School World Forum on Enterprise and the Environment, sponsored by The Times, Mr Gore said: Winston Churchill aroused this nation in heroic fashion to save civilisation in World War II.

I liken Al Gore to a turnip, intellectually speaking.
That Scott Ott sure can write.
Funny, so do I. Does Al Gore now believe that the environmental nuts are nazis too??
Is there no limit to which this man will stoop?
Apparently not.
How about comparing global warming to battle against wax buildup on your kitchen floor? I think that’s more appropriate.
He’s insane.
The Nazis were a defeatable foe. Climate change is a natural cycle. There is no comparison.
Algore is more like a bag of hammers, intellectually speaking. Why is he not taking credit for the .74 degree fall in temperature since winning the Nobel Peace Prize and bringing attention to his faux successes?
Beat me to it.
Well, you know— Al Gore is set up to make billions off cap and trade. I regard him to be a liar and a thief preying on ignorance. May he reap as he has sown.
Algore must be growing some high grade marijuana on his property with “green technology”.
And that is probably an insult to the turnip...a turnip has a useful purpose and it contributes more to the role of carbon reduction because it uses carbon dioxide to photosynthesize.
Of course, Nazis would embrace the climate change agenda.
No. It would be more appropriate to compare his warnings to those which fear that New Jersey will be overrun by elephants.
ML/NJ
Al Gore is a psychopath......albeit an unintelligent one.
Trying to change the climate is like Tilting at Windmills...
Al “Don Quixote” Gore.
