When a pro-terrorist organization announces its intention to launch a financial jihad against the West, it is well worth learning their methods --- especially when they promote a religious pseudo-financial scheme through largely unregulated practices purported to be safer than the conventional. But ultimately, the new assets are constructed with as little, and perhaps considerably less, transparency than the last wave of toxic assets that hit the economy, with catastrophic results.
The Muslim organization Hizb Ut Tahrir capitalizes on Muslim Brotherhood founder Hassan al-Banna's 20th century derivative, encouraging followers to build a parallel financial structure. Al-Banna envisioned the resultant Shari'a-compliant finance as a “back door” into Western financial markets and institutions through which to supplant liberty and prosperity with Islam. Muslim clerics including MB spiritual leader Yusuf al-Qaradawi promote Shari'a finance as generally safer than Western investments, a diversification method to steady personal assets -- and a stable economic system that should replace capitalism. Call it “financial replacement theology,” if you wish.
In July, Hizb Ut Tahrir plans to launch its U.S. arm with a huge Chicago “Khalifah conference” heralding the coming Caliphate and global Islamic supremacism. After 9/11, Germany and Sweden outlawed Hizb Ut Tahrir. In July 2005, Pakistan's then-president Pervez Musharaf warned Britain not to tolerate its continued U.K. presence. But in the U.S., Hizb Ut Tahrir has proudly announced intentions to replace capitalism with Islam.

HiTech, with all due respect, and I mean that, your reply is why people need to educate themselves on Shariah. It seems so simple, but it isn’t. The court case you spoke of might as well never have happened. For instance, AIG is based in London. There are gazillions in off shore banks that are shariah compliant. Wall Street now has a Shariah Index. They already have this in place as do many other financial institutions. You can’t narrow the focus to one lawsuit. It’s like a raindrop in the ocean.
Why should we believe a one sided account? The US Government is banned from investing in sharia, period.

Fortunately, Islamoterrorists are rather stupid nazis. What wisdom we hear from Islamic countries is from the moderates. (Yes, there are moderates in Islam. Pakistan has a lot of communities of them, who have learned the hard way not to let the Taliban get a foothold.)
They are Nazis, nonetheless, and the decade-long planning and execution of 9/11 was not done by a bunch of stupid camel jockeys, but a bunch of well-educated, well-funded, and well-trained operatives.
People like CAIR's Ibrahim Hooper have said that they want to make America an Islamic nation with Sharia Law replacing the Constitution, and with a Marxist Muslim in the White House, they must be licking their chops.
