Mitt Quit Too

A number of Palin defenders have argued that Mitt Romney similarly cut and run from Massachusetts. While there is an important distinction between resigning office and declining to run for reelection -- Romney served out the entire term to which he was elected -- I basically agree with this criticism. Romney's abandonment of Massachusetts during a critical juncture in fights over health care, the budget, and the definition of marriage was the single greatest factor that shifted me from a Romney-sympathetic commentator to a critic. (The spin of Romney's flip-flops by some of his overzealous supporters played a role too, as did his health care plan.)
****
watching Romney exit the field while so many of the issues he claimed to care about were in play, leaving the commonwealth to suffer one-party Democratic rule for the first time since the Dukakis years without any serious check or challenge, was too much to take. The man who rode back into the Bay State to save the GOP from a certain disaster at the hands of Jane Swift ended up merely delaying the inevitable for four years.

I’ll take that as an admission that you can’t actually defend Myth’s record.

“Pathetic” sums up well the Slick Willard trollscum. It apparently claims to be a teacher, too. I’d certainly be quite interested if I were the parent of a child in its class, since apparently this one is a chronic liar and embraces the values of Socialism and deceit. It has no business being around any children.

Do you remember when he won CPAC? He bused in college and high school students including some from Oklahoma and bought their ballots for them and then he announces how he won.
Also at his Town Halls, they were stacked with members of his church and staff who were the only ones that could ask questions. Remind you of anyone?

to post 60 - No mention of the Palin "bashers"? The vitriol from moderate/liberal Rs, (ex: one residing in Massachusetts), towards Palin couldn't be more reprehensible.
I myself happen to think Romney is a nice guy, has a beautiful and sweet wife and a nice looking family.
What gets tedious is comparing him, (with a straight face) as a conservative equivalent, and alternative, to Sarah Palin.
In the last election millions of conservative Christians refused to vote for McCain, despite having Palin as his Veep. Do you honestly believe Romney could convince them to vote for him? Who they will vote for, if she's at the top of the ticket, is Sarah Palin.
Three years certainly will not seem too long, for Palin's supporters. Because if she campaigns for 2012 the GOP primaries will be but a formality, she will win the nomination, going away. Everyone knows this and that is why we are witnessing the repulsive smear campaign against her...from some in her own Party.

I like Palin for her uncommon common touch. I like Romney, too, for his business sense. I could support either one of them in 2012.
I also like Gingrich. Smart man. Jindal needs seasoning but could be a player.
About the only potential candidate I would have hard time supporting is Huckabee. Too fiscally liberal.
To: Scarchin; fieldmarshaldj
Dude, Romney is a flip-flopping Big Government RINO. His record contains ample evidence to back up this claim, too. If you can’t (or don’t want to) see him for what he really is, you are either stupid, desperate, or a Big Government RINO yourself.

No, you have a long history of posting pro Mitt crap on a Conservative site without ever addressing the facts about him that are now more than sufficiently cataloged here on FR.
I would think you would know better given your tenure here but...
That FJ gets frustrated is understandable. Dealing with the games and illogic can grow tiresome for some folks...
I simply find it deliciously ironic and funny as hell...
