The LT Gov on Fox News Sunday said it's 2 million, not 500K.

I wonder which is true?

I think the $2 million figure is the state and the $500,000 figure is personal. I could be wrong... I am quite often. *L*

The State of Alaska has spent $2 million defending complaints they were obligated to defend.

I believe the $500,000 is the Palin’s personal debt from the Troopergate nonsense which they had to undertake themselves.

2 million state funds plus 500K from Palin family have been spent.

$500K for the Palins, $2M for Alaska, to my understanding.

You are confusing two figures. 2 Million has been the cost to Alaskan government, 500,000 in debt has been the cost to the Palins personally. That means they spent their money and went 500,000 dollars past that mark. That is what 500,000 grand in debt means. Both figures are correct, they just apply to different sources of money, one from Alaska the other personal income of the Palins.
