you would know that she repeatedly said that she will continue the political fight for America and is not going away. She also gives her reasons why she no longer sees a reason to serve out her term.
Of course if you prefer the imaginative interpretations... do as you please.
I don’t think this rules her out completely from future office or high-profile service. I do think it makes thing more difficult.
Could be this is the best move for her after all. But I would have been happier to see her finish her term. We need good people in _every_ office.

I know conservative Alaskans personally who supported her, campaigned for her, donated to her, and helped put her in office. They are behind her now because they (like many of us) see the larger and more critical national fight for the very soul of this nation...and believe she is somebody who can help turn that around.
That's what she is about and she has just executed a flanking manuever on the MSM and the left that has taken them by surprize and has them in a frenzy.
Good on her. She has our support.

She has to run a profoundly different kind of campaign if she wants to have a political future in any shape. Staying in Alaska, being obstructed as Governor and in her political activity was keeping her back. She freed herself and is now able to engage 100% in national politics, fundraising and extending her grassroots clout.
She did the absolute right thing under her circumstances.
Maybe Palin should start the third party and call it THE TEA PARTY! I’d be for that.
She achieved a whole lot as Governor... AGIA being the cornerstone.

Because I did support her by voting for the ticket and I voted for it mainly because of Palin not McCain. I still support Palin but I cannot help but think this was a real boneheaded move by Palin. Even Alaskans will not like her anymore over this. Big mistake, Sarah. If this was your decision alone, you need a brain transplant, if this was a decision by your political advisors, fire them immediately.

The vilification and financial harrassment has only increased since the election and is not unlike the orchestrated campaigns of Stalin or Hitler’s days.
Letterman et al should be fired for their appalling tasteless jokes(?) about her kids. Can you imagine the furor if he’d made similar remarks about Obama’s girls ?

I heard the speech. She was elected to fight for Alaska and that’s what she should have done. She should have gone home to Alaska governed well, and begun preparations for a 2012 presidential run if this was what she wanted. Sarah could have chosen not to run in 2010, but to leave mid term? This I can not understand. If a Democrat had done this, we would rightly condemn his/her abandonment of his/her state. I can not help but believe that this signals Sara Palins departure from politics-not the beginning of a run for the presidency.

As I stated in the last response to you...the Alaskans I know love her all the more now. They see her as taking the fight all the way downtown and they are for it.
The attacks will continue no matter what Palin does.
In fact, now I think they will get worse and more abusive since Palin has taken this action.
The one thing you never do politically is give your enemies ammunition.
Palin has done just that. More’s the pity.
Well then all means sit in the govenors mansion and take flak and not do the business of Alaska and spend their money countering lawsuits that amount to 0! Have you heard she is sticking her attorney on the false claim and fraudlency? You cant do that while being a governor. She is fighting and Im going to help. Will see you on the other side, I guess.
