The Washington Times Sunday, July 5, 2009 Rick Warren envisions coalition of faith Julia Duin (Contact) The Rev. Rick Warren, one of America's best-known evangelical Protestant pastors, pleaded with about 8,000 Muslim listeners on Saturday night to work together to solve the world's greatest problems by cooperating in a series of interfaith projects. "Muslims and Christians can work together for the common good without compromising my convictions or your convictions," Mr. Warren said during an evening session of the annual convention of the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) at the Washington Convention Center. "I am not interested in interfaith dialogue but interfaith projects," said the pastor of the 24,000-member Saddleback Church in Lake Forest, Calif., who is widely known for his bestseller "The Purpose-Driven Life." "Talk is cheap ... but love is something we do together," he added. "As the two largest faiths on this planet - more than 1 billion Muslims and 2 billion Christians - as Muslims and Christians, we must believe in this. As more than half the world, we must do something to model what it is to live in peace, to live in harmony." .

The Apostle Paul, one of Israel’s best-known evangelical pastors, pleaded with about 8,000 Baal Worshipper listeners on Saturday night to work together to solve the world’s greatest problems by cooperating in a series of interfaith projects.
“Baal Worshippers and Christians can work together for the common good without compromising my convictions or your convictions,” the apostle said during an evening session of the annual convention of the Pagan Society of North Israel (ISNA) at the Washington Convention Center....
The pastor, who usually dresses in informal Hawaiian shirts, arrived in a beige suit and yellow tie. He began his speech with the common Arabic greeting “Asalam alakum,” or “Peace Be Upon You.” the apostle said he was “deeply humbled and honored by this invitation,” then cracked a few jokes about his unworthiness in being there.
Although he is an evangelical pastor, the apostle was sparse in his mentions of Jesus and God...
Hmmmm. Somehow doesn’t sound quite right.
First the boy-rapers and baby killers infiltrate the churches...now this.
Sell out
LOL! Nailed it!
Good luck with Rick.
Rick Warren is a jacka&&.
Oops, I meant good luck with that Rick, my tongue got in front of my eye tooth and I couldn’t see what I was saying, sorry.
>>”Muslims and Christians can work together for the common good without compromising my convictions or your convictions,”<<
Ugh.
I seem to remember the rhetorical question from Amos: “Can two walk together unless they be agreed?”
It's official: Rick Warren wants Christians to turn the other cheek while muslims behead them for not being ... muslim.
Rick W. is no Christian. Suggesting that Islam and Christianity have a common goal is a slap in the face to all traditional Americans.
No wonder B.O. likes this guy.
If Warren doesn't agree with that then he should give up any leadership position in the church.
The rapture is getting closer each day. The Apostile Paul told Timothy how things would be in the last days. The implementation of the Climate Control bill passed illegally by the House when passed by the Senate will destroy economically the United States and shift the balance of power back to the Mediterian area.
But no matter how dark the future seems, the majority of voters in the United States have nothing fo fear. The messiah they annointed November 4, 2008 will save them.
Amrericans, on the other hand, have one thing to do if they wish to survive, i.e. continue living, stop obama before he stops them.
Went to the same school obamma lamma ding dong did?
Right on the mark.
Given the current state of affairs, RW is likely to do well with his new book, “The Purpose Driven Dhimmi.”
Rick Warren
Osama Bama 2 with Messiah Complex.
..if this and his retraction of support for Prop 8 do not tell you what this guy is all about, nothing will—he has purpose and he is driven, but it is not historic Christianity he’s advancing...
