Steve Hayes, usually a smart guy, thinks that Palin would have had a platform to speak about energy as governor, but now that she is not governor, she can’t.

There’s no doubt it was a tough choice and a close call.

But, the overwhelming issue is the logistical impossibility of running for POTUS as the sitting Governor of Alaska.

Correct me if I'm wrong but don't all the anti-palin arguments boil down to "well, stepping down didn't make her president yet so clearly she can't ever be president."

What a load of fallacious malarky.

I loved that line from Chris Wallace, “Jennifer Loven (from AP), who represents the White House view of this...”

How true!

And what an indictment of the Drive By Media!

Some really cool energy talk on FR this morning. Looks like the US geodetic study has re evaluated the Bakken formation at about 503 billion barrels. More than any of the terrorist countries we now get oil from. It's here;

I fail to see how stepping down as governor diminishes her ability to confront energy issues. To the contrary, she will now have the opportunity to take this message directly to the lower 48 as personal speaking engagements and campaign appearances for conservative candidates.

And there will probably be a book tour as well.

Sarah will be/ has already been asked to help candiates around the country. She has license to address energy or anything else.

And those paying to see her at fundraisers will demand to know her solutions to our problems such as energy...of which she is extremely qualified to address.

She will be paid to bash Obama. What a country !
