Did Wallace remind Hoyer that he, Pelosi, and Reid have been in charge of Congress for two and a half years? Oh nevermind. I think I just answered my own question.

One thing I noted in her exist speech was her saying she would support other candidates 'regardless of their party' affiliation.

You can bet the old guard of the Grand OLD Party aren't going to like that.

I don't think Democrats will appreciate it either, should she support on of their own.

McCain drew two people (both reporters) to the airport in Manchester, NH early in his campaign

The report I remember was that only one (1) reporter showed up. That was while The O was doing his grand Euro tour.

The evening O was giving his acceptance of the nomination (after officially beating Clinton in the primary), McCain gave a speech in Louisiana and drew only about 200 listeners. O drew around 20,000.

Wow. I loved the reader who countering Katherine’s point that they were not selling access said “hell, you had a price list”. Beautiful. They don’t like it at all.

I'm with you and I think in the end she will win.

McCain showed exaclty what and who he is when he sent his staff after her recently, don't quite recall the context only that he did go after her ....again. He truly is rino loser of the first degree.

Morning AB, All...

So here’s my story. It is completely true and this stuff happens to me just so I can come on early Sunday morn and tell y’all about it. No MTP today so the it’s a slow news day.

I go to a 4th of July party. It’s at my niece’s house, my other niece is also there. They each have a son and each of their sons is there. One son has two female guests, I didn’t know who they were. I had my precious and precocious granddaughter with me.

So the evening goes on. Everybody oohs and aahs over granddaughter, we eat from the barbie. This is in Merryland, which is only 30 miles down from the road from Delaware. At nightfall we would walk to the beach and watch the fireworks.

A normal All-American July 4, right?

So one of the l of the ladies suddenly has a guitar and she’s strumming and singing and she was quite good. Just a real sweet girl, goodness she was only around early 20’s, maybe 22, I dunno. I enjoyed her song, taped it, asked if I could put it on my Blog. She’s teaching my granddaughter how to strum the guitar and sings some of kind of bluesy tunes with her. Kaitlyn is enamored of this pretty woman paying so much attention to her. This female’s friend, I’ll call the guitar female Mary, her friend is Jane, was kind of quiet but very nice so far as I could see.

Mary asks about my Blog and I am, ahem, a political person. This always gets me into trouble. I explain my Blog is a mish-mash of this and that but mostly I take the position my granddaughter needs my thoughts duly recorded that she may keep the liberals from taking over the world and ruining it. Something to that effect.

Mary says nothing, acts interested. Others chirp in on politics, conservatism, nothing in anger...in fact most there professed to too be conservatives. It’s that old most of the country considers themselves conservative and I believe this.

suddenly Mary pipes up and says, “I’ll tell you what’s wrong with conservatives”. I am perfectly willing to listen.

“In the state of Merryland I can’t marry the person I love most in the world,” Mary says to the sound of a pin dropping.

I am surprised, as are most bbq attendees at that point, as we then figure that Mary and Jane must be a “couple”. Not that there’s anything wrong with this.

I go into a little spiel about marriage being between a male and a female, which, ahem, I believe. She shouts that true love knows no sexual gender and she started to sound a little like Mark Sanford.

Well it was no mind because even if the gods of love, Eros and Obama himself saw marriage as not limited to gender, number, hell maybe even inter-species, the law is only a male and a female, in the state of Merryland, can be married at this time. Facts are facts.

Within 15 minutes, I am not making this up, Mary and Jane are standing up in some central location in this home and deck and they are locked in a passionate embrace, french-kissing, their arms intertwined...well little was left to the imagination. All party attendess are circling around this awkward scene because hey, what are we gonna complain about this nutty thing to be doing at an all-American 4th of July party even if they were both HETEROSEXUALS?

They put us in this position, folks. Besides....recall please, I’ve got my 5 year old granddaughter there who adores this Mary woman and this weighs on my mind.

It gets better but let me take a break.

This is the every-generation fight for the Republican Party

Total agreement. I would *never* call Karl Rove a RINO but he is an inside-the-beltway guy. He *may* eventually get behind a strong and succeeding Palin but he is clearly not jumping on her bandwagon early on.

We'll see how it works out over the long term. Rove could come over under the right circumstances but it will be late in the game IMO.

I was never a supporter of Rove...even more so when Jorge Bush began pushing left-wing socialist programs & policies ie amnesty. Rove's open embracing of LA Raza & amnesty was the last straw.

Now he's chosen to be with the anti-Palin, pro-Romney RINO establishment - the reason why the marxist rats are in total control.

"We don't intend to turn the Republican Party over to the traitors in the battle just ended. We will have no more of those candidates who are pledged to the same goals as our opposition and who seek our support. Turning the Party over to the so-called moderates wouldn’t make any sense at all." -- President Ronald Reagan

Actually, IIRC, a lot of us were unhappy with Rove and Bush during the Bush presidency over things like prescription drug legislation, the Kennedy education bill and Meyers appointment to the Supreme Court, among others. But, with the Republican win in 2004, getting more House and Senate seats, everyone was giving him a pass.

Having said that, I do like Karl Rove and I think he’s pretty good on strategy as well as understanding the politics going on.

Jennifer Loven of AP is on the FNC panel this morning. Asked if Palin will have an easier time out of office, Loven’s answer was nothing will change.

IOW, just as whites and preachers and military persons do not qualify to be victims of Hate Crimes, Sarah Palin does not qualify to receive reasonable treatment from any media.

All true—though of course there’s a whole gaggle of party consultants each election cycle who cram onto whatever bandwagon is successfully pulling into town.

"we inherited" "we inherited" "we inherited"

The bushbots blamed Clinton for 8 years. Even after Bush won a 2nd term, the bushbots still blamed Clinton.

The Republicans had the House, Senate and White House during most of those 8 years, and they blew it.

whatever bandwagon is successfully pulling into town.

Yeah, that's why it's useful to figure out where the serious players are at early in the game. The rest are just ground troops bloodying up the field... ;0)
