TEGUCIGALPA (AFP) — Ousted President Manuel Zelaya is set to return to Honduras on Sunday, a week after the army threw him out, amid fears of clashes after coup leaders threatened to arrest him on his return.

The Organization of American States suspended the Central American country late Saturday -- in the first such move since the exclusion of Cuba in 1962 -- for failing to reinstate Zelaya.

They should arrest him immediately and charge him with treason

The truly sad thing is that everything they have done has been legitimate and moderate - and they are being punished for it because they have gone against the will of Chavez and Obama.

Zelaya was exiled, and not dragged out and strung up in the plaza. Nor did he even go to jail, as he should have for any number of reasons. I read that he ran up $80,000 in debt on government credit cards in his last weeks buying goodies for himself and his friends.

Once the left makes gains, anywhere, they will fight with every thing to keep those gains. They consider the road to socialism and political correctness to be a one way street with no going back. We see that in Honduras and we see it in America. Ask Norm Coleman.

If the plane carrying him is allowed to land at all, the plane should be boarded by security forces, and Zelaya arrested, placed in secure custody until he can be re-exiled, with the assurance that any further attempt to return will be treated as an treasonous attempt to destabilize the legitimate government of Honduras.

That is, if the Hondurans are not prepared to proceed directly to an accusation of treason immediately upon his present attempt to return.

The jackwipes accompanying Zelaya should not be allowed off the plane.

The only “coup” leaders are Zelaya, the leftist media and asshats like 0 and Chavez.

The Hondurans should have tried him for treason and then hung him.

It is not too late to so do when he returns.

Jose Miguel Insulza is the head of the OAS. He cut his political teeth working with Allende. He is a long-time member of the Socialist Party in Chile.

This is shaping up as the battle-ground between Democracy and Marxist-Socialism in the Western Hemisphere.

Chavez/Ortega/Castro/Insulza/Obama against the constitution of Honduras.

We are on the wrong side.

WSJ: Eyewitnesses say that Toncontín International Airport in Honduras has been closed ahead of scheduled return of ousted president.

Honduran interim government says any aircraft carrying ousted president Zelaya will not be allowed to land.

That might be the simplest solution for this "showdown" that Zelaya is trying to force for now.

BELIEVE me, it would appear that there are many within the US government, (and many now retired but still not over the hill) who will not countenance this administration siding with the expansion of communismo and red dicators-for-life in Central America and trying to reverse the democratic, anti-communist gains we made during Reagan/Bush in this critical region. Obama is treading on thin, policy ice if/when he chooses the CNN/Castro/Chavez/Ortega/FMLN/Evo/Lula/Zelaya "rojo" route.

The man is setting him self up for a drubbing in 2010, and in becoming a single-term, lame duck with his wings clipped.

I’m more worried that there are countless people in our government (especially State & Justice) that DO want the expansion of Marxist regimes.
