Although the budget has not yet been finalized, the Board of Education was expecting to use that additional $1.399 million to cover the cost of several building improvement projects such as a new roof for Surgoinsville Middle School, which alone has been estimated to cost $500,000.

Bottom line: Send the money from taxpayer to Washington. Then return it from Washington via Nashville to the town for taxpayer use. Neglect to keep the paperwork straight.

Bottom line is I live in Florida and my grandchildren will be paying for a roof in some other place in the country. They probably will be paying for it long after the roof needs to be repaired again.

Of course it works both ways, some future grandchild of yours will be paying to pave my road so three men with shovels can watch one man dig a hole

Demand local solutions for local issues. There is NO Constitutional authority for any of this insanity.

Don't worry they will do both. If I believe my local assessor, the value of my house is something like 3 or 4 billion dollars now.
