Palin 2012: The Crystal Ball
race 4 2012 ^ | July 3, 2009 | Alex Knepper

Posted on 07/03/2009 9:37:28 PM PDT by Al B.

Palin 2012. Hypothetical narrative.

If this is what she runs on — and does it well — then watch the hell out:

I’m Sarah Palin, and I’m running to be Citizen-In-Chief.

I entered politics to change something. I ran to serve my state, the great state of Alaska, and then for the vice-presidency because I care about this country.

I saw first-hand the viciousness and pettiness that have made Americans fed up with politicians, politics as usual, and the destructive personal attacks that also go on far too often. Those sorts of things that public service should never be about.

I thought I could serve my country best by being removed from that environment.

I don’t need a title to bring to Washington the change America really needs: a dose of humility in a federal government that has completely lost touch with its citizens.

So I come to you today as an Alaskan, as a parent of a soldier, and as a mother of five. I am running not as a member of the elite, of the establishment — but of the everyday. I ask to serve you as president because I have shared your experiences and I understand your disgust with the system. What we need today is not a ruler, but a servant. A servant of the people. A servant of America.

I will govern as first among equals, not as your ruler. Not as the Queen of Washington, giving orders that descend from on high. I know firsthand how that culture of selfishness and personal destruction in Washington harms lives. I ask for your support because I share your disgust with the system. And if you will fight with me, if you will put that trust in me to do that — then you can trust me, also, to change it.

When enemies of this country criminally took over, it was only to initiate and hasten the destruction of this country. There is nothing else. You are mistakenly assuming they somehow care about this country. They don’t. NOT AT ALL. Not about destroying it, and certainly not about improving it. These bipedal humanoids are beyond insane and utterly without conscience.

“government cheese”. I don’t know why, but that phrase cracks me up.

Anyway... I love this country too, but I want some changes. I want term limits. I want elected leaders to remember that they are servants and not pampered “lords and ladies”. I want the federal government to go back to protecting our borders and regulating interstate commerce instead of trying to be a nanny from hell. I’m sure there’s other things too, but I’m tired.

Obama and his wife and cohorts (Rev.Wright..Ayers...et al) .have a seething hatred for this country the way it is...I could see it...feel it and hear it right from the get-go

agreed except she will support some rinos, at least here in the NE (NJ).

Sarah must be a kingmaker and rake in the IOUs.

That’s JMHO of course and I’ve never run or won an election.

I believe that the motivation is purely to get power and to keep power. What’s the point of getting power and then intentionally destroying it? You don’t see too many politicians willing to give up power voluntarily.

When I say "just the way it is" I mean at it's fundamental Constitutional core...I agree with all the above so we are on the same page...:o)

It was a great from the heart speech. And did not hear one pundit say as much. Getting it first hand makes all the difference. Fear and jealousy of her is extreme. She’s one powerful woman just by being herself - truly a born leader.

Well said , I agree.

Yes, it is rare, and it’s because she has what nobody else in the party seems to have at the moment: charisma. She also conveys the idea that she is one of us and wants to fight for us. It’s something that the Left hates and it seems that some of the GOP establishment hates too.

Ever think about the nature of a cancer cell? It is a cell that devours everything around it with no regard for the host until it destroys everything including itself..." Remind you of someone?

Well, we weren’t really arguing princples anyway, just the intentions of the socialist party. :)

“I love Sarah, buy the Dems...”

“We care because we’d like to see her elected. If you repeat something often enough, people will believe it.”

If you’re a cow in the herd. Why concern yourself with those whom are already throwing back the Kool Aid? Stop fearing the opposition, or are your convictions so weak that you’re capable of being sucked into their Black Hole as well?

True conservatives press on.

The anger in the nation—as seen in the Tea Parties—is growing by the day if not the hour. When Obamas high talk is shown to be just that—talk—people will be looking for new leaders. What do the Republicrats have? Mit? Mccain again, Newt? Sarah could fill the bill. Set up a new party OR take over the GOP like Reagan did decades back. She has to not only promise but deliver. Expect the left and their Media whores to blast Sarah with all they have. Its going to get ugly. She should watch her back too. I would not put assassination out of the question. To hold power I would put nothing off the table when it comes to ACORN Thugs and Progressive radicals. Be ready to support Sarah—First Citizen of the nation.

In a fantasy world I would love to see a new Conservative Party with such leaders as Glen Beck, Col. North, Miss California (the real one) Joe the Plumper, and Sarah Palin. But, I guess its just a dream.

I found it insulting that not ONE pundit, not even the vaunted Krauthammer, got it. Not ONE. Made me realize how attached to the DC umbilical cord they all are. None of them know us at all.

but that wouldn’t be his intention.

He knows FULL well what he is doing. What did he say while campaigning and what has he been doing - the opposite. If he didn't want to deceive - where's his COLB? His intentions, his actions are to deceive. And it's not hidden, it's obvious.

I don’t think Obama hates himself that much. I just think he loves power more. I never have to think about why he did this or why he did that. Looking through the prism of getting more and more power, everything he does makes sense.

That was sarcasm, right? Cuz I heard more than a few nitwits from the media say exactly that.
Sarcasm from you though. Right?

It’s almost amazing isn’t it? I don’t think it’s just charisma per se. It’s something more than that, I can’t put my finger on it.

All I can offer is that when I broached the news with my 80 yr old dad, all he said was “I love that woman”

The last woman he said that about has been deceased a few years now, and gave birth to 11 of his children.
