And, I suppose it does make me an idiot not to make silly assumptions that she’s been planning a presidential run all along!

I agree 100% — she is exactly what we need.

I have noticed some very negative comments coming from the Romney types and other candidate supporters plus I think the moles are out in force against her on here. I have actually laughed at some of the comments trying to portray her as finished, etc.

How I understand all this:

She was too good for this country. This country has become unrecognizable to me over the past few decades. Having Sarah in office was like throwing pearls to the swine.

The swine will get what they deserve. Sarah move on with her life and her family, to the detriment of us all.

I am damn glad that there are Duncan Hunters out there should the country call. I am proud to have him as a Republican.

I just do not think that the needs of the times and the man are met.

Yes, I sadly agree...

This is America unleashed.
with Sarah as our leader.....
She’ll be figuratively pouring the tea at the parties.....Can’t do that if she holds public office.

I said on another thread:
Sarah will appear on many talk shows, write a book, appear again, speak at various conferences, speak out against Obama, speak for various candidate who she will help to elect, appear on more talk shows, be featured in magazines of her choice, write a blog or write a syndicated columns for newspapers, speak out more against Obama, unite the party. Become the candidate of common sense.

She has over a half MILLION DOLLARS of personal debt from her legal battles inflicted by the vengeful RATs. If she is smart, she'll join the board of a NON-OPEC American Oil Company and use her influence to bring ANWR drilling right into Obama's face. She'll get vilified as being in bed with "Big Oil" but she can throw that right back at them with pride: Damn right I represent OIL, it's Alaska's biggest natural resource. I represent a non-opec affiliated oil company because I know that America's future power is directly linked to American owned and operated oil reserves. Simple.

Governor Palin must emphatically get on the right side of the amnesty issue.

And she's gonna hit some head winds when (inevitably) she campaigns for someone who people around here have deemed to be a RINO (gasp!).

It'll be interesting to see that play out.

The same Andrea Mitchell who was buried in an avalanche of balloons at the RNC? Yeah. I trust her word. Not.

She’ll get money, airtime to nail Obama as a private citizen, piss off the media, act like the leader of the Republican Party, and build the all important gravitas! Woo hoo...she’ll be the buzzing fly all over Obama’s Kobe beef and honey dew the media keeps feeding him. Wake up folks, the plan is in action.

This is the most brilliant move ever in politics.

Sarah is the genius of her time, but the numbskulls just don’t appreciate her genius, like they didn’t appreciate George W. Bush.

Oh, this is NBC, the "Nothing But-Barack Channel".

Hehehe...are they in for a surprize!

I listened to her entire announcement. It was honorable, it was direct, and it punctuated the insane politics of our day...it also punctuated her personal commitment to fight, and to do so when it would not distract further from her job as Governor and the foundation she has built there.

I am proud of her and support her. She is a great American.

I think Sarah has just turned, like a fed-up mama Bear, on her detractors. She has put things in order, she has left them in the hands of capable people, and she has now turned to face her enemies directly.

...and I think they are going to be sorry. We have smelled the fear in them for a long time. Good on her!

I believe she will assist others greatly in 2010, and will run herself in 2012...and she has my full support.

GO SARAH GO!

The sad part is, you really can’t wave a three-quarter-inch video tape cassette around like Harry Truman did that Chicago Trib with the headline “DEWEY DEFEATS TRUMAN”. I mean, you can, but it doesn’t have the same impact.

If Duncan Hunter is such a star why won’t he run for Governor of California? He could make a name for himself and position for a run for president. Rock solid credentials with conservatives, but he has zero name recognition nationally.

Not so. Andrea Mitchell looks like a jerk again. How many times can these people be wrong and maintain the facade that they know better than the rest of us?

My hubby watches NBC News (choke, choke) every night. Tonight Lester Holt was sitting in for Brian W. Be very glad you didn't have to listen. It was so convicting!

In a somber and worried tone, Holt reports:

".....many say she ignored topics critical to Alaskans and her problems were complicated when her family dramas became tabloid fodder!. Just last month, Palin got into a bitter dustup with David Letterman, after the late night comedian made an offensive comment about her daughter and Alex R....." She has been a lightning rod for criticism, that continued long after the VP run, especially FOR HER OUT OF STATE TRAVEL. Polito director Chuch Todd is here for more on that:

Todd: "we had one source tell a colleague of ours that, you know, the various petty, uh in her mind, petty ethics complaints that she would recieve when she was traveling out of state were becoming to frequent. For instance she just had to reimburse some money."

Sarah Palin - charged, convicted and sentenced.
