Gov. Sarah Palin will resign her office in a few weeks, she said during a news conference at her home Friday morning.
Lt. Gov. Sean Parnell will be inaugurated at the Governor's Picnic at the end of the month, Palin said.

All other considerations aside, the fact that this woman not wealthy, not an Ivy Leager, not a Washington Insider was forced into half a million dollars of personal debt to defend her own integrity against the same wealthy, Ivy League, Washington Insider POWER PEOPLE who hated her, and they accused her of Ethics violations WITH TAXPAYER MONEY. DISGUSTING!
If Sarah Palin cant serve as a Governor without being impoverished and so tied up with red tape and political vendettas at the behest of other politicians, then NO common sense, NORMAL people can. And if thats the case, there will be NO reform of the American political system from within....
Ole Shep is running that network!!!The dam obama lover that he is!!!
The only ones I can think of off the top of my head are Gov. Jindal (LA), Sen Inhofe (OK), Rep Hunter (CA). Gov. Barbour (MS) may be, as could be Gov. Crist.
LOL I don’t think so.
Exactly. They don’t even lie well.
Jealous of what?
AmericanSphinx71, so tell me...
I have seen you post something insinuating Sarah did something wrong; then you are jumping on to the rumor she is done with politics...yet you tell me from my mouth to God’s ears about her running in 12.
For the record, are you pro-Sarah Palin because you agree with her conservative principles, or because you think she would be easily beatable by the left? So far, I’m not convinced that you mean her well.
Hmmmmm
Its the best thing she could have doen.
That sounds about right to me. A very bold move by Sarah. And as far as some of the criticisms I've read here on FR regarding the executive experience she'd be forfeiting by resigning the governship, zerobama has proven that people will vote for a presidential candidate without experience if they are convinced of his or her leadership abilities.
I've contributed both to Sarah's legal defense fund and SarahPAC and consider it money well spent. If Sarah is truly positioning herself now as the anti-zerobama, then I'm all for it, and will try to help her in any way I can.
“For the record, are you pro-Sarah Palin because you agree with her conservative principles, or because you think she would be easily beatable by the left?”
I like Palin because she is pretty much on the same page with my beliefs. I like that she has a conservative track record and stands up for what she believes.
Unfortuntelay, I feel she was forced from power. Whether the is something stupid in her past, or if she she just got tired of the attacks on her family, she was driven from power. Whatever the case, we have lost one of the few real conservative voices in politics.
But as I said, considering how the American people as a whole have treated her and her family, this country doesn’t deserve her. To deserve something, it has to appriciate it first.
Fair enough, but I still don’t think she is gone - just from Alaska Politics. I hope she shows the boys in the GOP they need to man up or shut up.
