Well read it how you want, this whole thing doesn’t seem right. It seems the constant hammering from Obama and the left has driven her out of power.
Now you name one, notable, worthwhile conservative in power now that Sarah has been driven out.
I can’t think of one.

The personal attacks and the ethics complaints were consuming 80% of her and her staff’s time.
She was already determined not to run again in 2010.
But according to her statement, she sees a greater need, both for Alaska and for the country, to speak out on important issues.
She told Alaskans she will not be a lame duck, doing the travel thing on the state’s dime. She went through a list of all of her accomplishments. She said she and her husband are fishermen, and only dead fish go with the flow.
She will not go with the easy way out.
She is resigning and poutting the state in capable hands.
But she is still going to fight.
She is going all in, with no distractions.
Her demeanor was not one of defeat, or resignation, but positive, and of of sureness of her purpose.
Her critics may have one a battle, but she is going to war, in my opinion. She will not be silent, and she will be free to speak her mind.
AND SHE SAID IT ALL WITHOUT A TELEPROMPTER!
The political landscape shifted this afternnoon, in ways we will not know clearly for awhile.
Sarah has a rendevous with destiny.
And I cast my lot with her.

I look forward to helping others to fight for our state and our country, and campaign for those who believe in smaller government, free enterprise, strong national security, support for our troops, and energy independence.
She's Running

Agreed.
News already spinning how it may hurt her chances. She has the ready - made comeback.
It didn’t hurt Obama.

What does there have to be a scandal? Why couldn’t it be she is doing the right thing for Alaska if she overall has plans to run for President?

Countless hints at a future run for President. She is cunning.
Exactly. The more I hear about this, the more I like it. She is now national news again and her reasons for quitting are reasonable.
The usual suspects will howl (Dems, media elites, RomneyDrones), but this frees her to go toe-to-toe with them full time.

No need for Alaskans to continue to pay to fight the smear from the national DUmocrats. They are better served by continuing her agenda under the Lt. Governor, and her moving into the national spotlight and take on the RINOs within the McCain campaign who’ve been her biggest detractors.

Me too. If Sarah can go "all in", what about the rest of us? Are we serious about this thing, or what?

Faux News is in the tank for Flip Romney. They will not be friendly to Palin. But it doesn't matter. She transcends even them.

And she has temporarily, at least, knocked some of the MJ stuff off the air, and speculation will dominate the weekend news shows.
IOW, she has sucked the oxygen out of the news.
If she weren’t to be reckoned with, there wouldn’t be this kind of flap.
