Just turned on Fox. They’re standing by for it, so I guess it’ll be televised.

On a Friday just before a long holiday weekend. Seems like kind of a strange time.

I was wondering why no news yet then I realized Alaska is 1 hour behind Washington State. Should be any minute now.

Wallace on foxnews saying it’s rather strange as her prospects to win reelection were high. He suspects she may be closing the door on any future run. I, however, suspect she may be opening the door on Presidential aspirations and needs time to get her campaign in order.

I bet she is getting out of politics altogether. The left has smeared her and her family for so long and so hard that I think she has had it. I hope I am wrong, but I bet that is it.

I think this is the more likly reason, from the Politico:

Alaska
Gov. Sarah Palin has told associates that she will not seek re-election next year, freeing her to pursue a White House bid in 2012, according to two GOP sources.
Palin is to make her decision known later this afternoon from her home in Wasilla with her husband, Todd, and family by her side.
By not running for re-election, Palin liberates herself from the political constraints that come with running for president while still in elected office.
Leaving office at the end of next year, the former vice presidential hopeful will be able to travel the country more freely without facing the sort of repeated ethics inquiries shes been fending off since returning to Alaska earlier this year. Article here

Damn. Someone who spoke with her recently said she complained that she was spending 80% of her time defending herself from the Demmunist's frivolous lawsuits. She felt that she didn't think it was fair to the people of Alaska to continue as governor.
Just damn. How anyone can support the Demmunists is beyond me.
