According to link 1, the CPM rate for network television is $ 20 to 40 per thousand unique viewers. And link two outlines that ABC got 4.703 million viewers on that night. So if we treat this as a standard run of the mill advertisement(which it was, a pure political advertisement) we would have to come to the conclusion that in terms of campaign ad equivalency ABC donated 2,821,200 dollars to help out the effort.
(I chose the lowest number; 20 CPM. I also didn't take into account for the length of said ad. Most ads are what.... 1 or 2 minutes long? If we take into account for the fact that this advertisement was an hour long, then we get 2,821,200 dollars )
Every time a news network donates time to a political effort, there needs to be someone out there who is finding out/calculating what it's worth to said effort. And then talking about it from the context of 527 donations
If my math is a little bit off, by all means correct me.

Since ABC actually lost viewers, and those who bothered to tune in their propaganda were likely liberals who already endorsed the socialist administration, this is fairly meaningless. But in any event, the $2.8 million “value” should be at least on a “per 30 second” basis.
Seems logical to me.....
.....It's no different than what the IRS considers "Imputed Income" where some benefit I have received (and maybe even never used) is considered to have income value equal to the amount I would have had to pay for it.
Let's hold ABC news and Zero to the same standard. It was a contribution.
Given the dire straits in which the MSM wallows, another check should be done. What if ABC had a side deal where a Soros-type group, “overpaid” for a PSA or some other innocuous ad? ABC would not have to disclose an over-payment from a 527 and since the 527 can all the expenditure anything it wants (think ACORN), ABC could do its infomercial, get paid for it and no one is the wiser.
Remember, these are the same hypocritical people who want to bring back the “Fairness Doctrine” but they don’t want to practice it themselves.
If calculated at 30 then it would be around 4.2 million.
I think.
