Public Support for Sotomayor Falls After Supreme Court Reversal
Rasmussen Reports ^ | July 2, 2009

A heavily publicized U.S. Supreme Court reversal of an appeals court ruling by Judge Sonia Sotomayor has at least temporarily diminished public support for President Obama's first Supreme Court nominee.

The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey, conducted on the two nights following the Supreme Court decision, finds that 37% now believe Sotomayor should be confirmed while 39% disagree.

Two weeks ago, the numbers were much brighter for the nominee. At that time, 42% favored confirmation, and 34% were opposed.

This is why the Democrats are in such a rush to start her confirmation.

She’ll obviously be confirmed, and join the ever growing list of disgraces and embarrassments that comprise the current administration.

This is a good sign. If we had more Senators, we’d have a shot at derailing the nomination.

La Raza, for the race everything, for everyone else nothing!

That right there disqualifies her for any government position, belonging to it is close to treason!

I hope she isn’t. I mean if she is, then it forces the hands of the true patriots, in Civil War 2, to have to try the USSC along w/ the other two branches.

Of course, God Himself only knows why Murtha’s treason has not been tried.

If we had any Senators with guts there might be a chance she doesn’t get through.

Too bad we don’t.

Every democrap Senator needs to be hammered as to what La Raza really is, I doubt most of them have any idea what it is.

It's far more racist than the KKK and are committed to taking the southwest and making it part of Mexico.

Among those not affiliated with either major party, 23% favor confirmation, and 49% are opposed.

Sotomayor is dim, bloated, and maleable - - she will do exactly what she thinks her benefactors expect her to do. It's why she was nominated. She is the ideal rat judge.

No rats will defect. None.

How about putting that poor guy in jail and not letting him out when he is innocent?

I may be flamed for pessimism or some other kind of “ism” but I don’t see her chances of confirmation at all under 75%. I can’t see her not getting confirmed is what I’m saying. Nobody in Congress has the guts to oppose her with gusto. IMO.

And frankly, I consider it quite a bit more important to defeat cap’n trade and government health rationing.

This is a good sign. If we had more Senators, we’d have a shot at derailing the nomination.

Only if they were conservative as opposed to RINOs. Remember, we had 8 treasonous congress critters vote for the "Cap and Trade" scam.

Sotomayor is a racist pig. She doesn’t have any business being on ANY court let alone the highest court in the land.

Ooh, is that going to get me called names??
