Governor Palin was the only thing that gave Senator McCain the slim chance that he had last year, and he fumbled it: That wasn't her fault!

If RINO Romney is the best the GOP can do in 2012 I might as well just stay at home.

McCain’s disastrous choice may have been fatal to his electoral chances,
*******
These writers are total idiots.

McCain was ahead on Sept. 10; he lost because he “suspended” his campaign like a flake, and because the economy cratered.

I love Sarah personally but I don’t think she’d be able to beat Obama in 2012. I don’t think anyone of the big names like Huckabee or Romney or Jindal could either.

I think the Republican Party needs fresh conservative blood. It’s been so corrupted the last few years, leaving Reagan conservatism behind in many areas.

We need to fight fire with fire: we need a young, handsome, well spoken and articulate MAN, with a solid conservative record, a clean family life that the libs couldn’t poke fun at, and something intangible that people respond to, like a sense of humor.

I think the Republicans have a few people who could fit the bill and they should be grooming them right now, but quietly. Someone like John Thune could come from right field and impress both conservative Republicans and Reagan Democrats.

Sarah Palin, for all her good looks, verve and gumption, is woefully unqualified for national office. It’s not a stretch to assert that in many crucial areas, she’s empty headed.

Republicans just watched a goodhearted but over his head Republican president damn near destroy the party and the economy. The next Republican president had better be a top shelf, heavyweight thinker who knows what the hell he is talking about, and who has the experience, temperament and judgment to handle that very challenging office. I’m sorry to tell Palin supporters on FR that she is not now, nor will she ever be, that guy.

The sooner the Palin tsunami blows over for conservatives, the better off we’ll be. If FR turns into a Palin lovefest, it will be a big mistake for the website, because FR will be backing a loser.

Why are there so many people Outside who are so EAGER to give Governor Palin advice on how to be a politician? Everybody seems to have all this "insight" into her and her electability.

Do they do this for the male candidates? Not so often, I would say. Most of them have the idea that she is a backward hillbilly, who doesn't have brains enough to pour p*ss out of a boot with the instructions written on the heel. Is THAT why they selected her as McCain's running mate? Because they were convinced she was Emmett Kelly in drag and would turn McCain's campaign into a circus? I think Sarah Palin is capable of choosing her own advisors, making her own decisions, and bringing herself up to date on the things that are important. I think they are afraid they won't be able to corrupt her.

Let’s think about this guys. Why is Sarah, suddenly, once again the front page news item? Because she won 72% on a recent straw poll. Every since that poll the left(and the beltway RINOs)have gone into a feeding frenzy about her. I would say the RINOs are the worst ones of the two right now, what with the Vanity Fair BS. It all boils down to fear, fear from the left that she will smash Bozo the WH clown and fear from the RINOs that they will lose their equally corrupt grip on the right. It is no big secret, it just takes a little insight into the way crooked politicians, both dimwits and RINOs, think.

Journalist Todd Purdhom paints a picture of a woman with a narcissistic personality, who’s short on knowledge, disinterested in policy discussion, and not ready for primetime. In the end, the story says more about John McCain’s competence and character than it does about Palin, simply because he flubbed his most important decision as a presidential candidate.

No, in the end, the story is just another wild eyed liberal attack on a Republican who they KNOW can do them some damage should she decide to run for President. They saw how she energized the conservatives in 2008, and they want to keep those voters down, and poison the waters for independent voters, as much as possible in 2012.

THERE IS NO 2012 ELECTION!
Just as the Soviets took control of Russia, the Nazis took control of Germany, and Castro took control of Cuba, there are no longer any fair elections, here, so long as we live.

Do you honestly think that the Marxist/Fascists will pick up their marbles and go home after something so insignificant as a mere election?

Once again, I hope I am wrong.
But history bears me out.

To all the Palin Haters;

If she is so unqualified, so stupid, and most importantly, a guaranteed loser against Obama, what's up with the MSM and the lefts obsession with her? Why waste all the breath and time on a bumbling idiot who would surely go down to defeat against zero?

After all did the Right continually trash Geraldine Ferarro or Loyd Benson after 84 or 88? Did the Democrats spend every waking moment going after Quayle or Kemp after 92’ or 96’? No they didn't. Why? Because they did not see them as a threat. People don't waste time trashing people who are not a threat to them or their beliefs. After all Nixon and Gingrich used to regularly cause the Dems blood to boil but I don't see an article a day coming out decrying how evil they are.

They only trash Palin because she they see her as their greatest threat. Ron Paul if given the chance would totally dismantle the welfare state and the new deal. Yet for some reason their is not a constant parade of hate directed at him day in and day out. Could it be that they don't waste their time on people who are of little concern?

RE :”To do this, she must gradually reduce her exposure and begin to educate herself on the issues. She will not be ready for 2012 by remaining governor of Alaska and playing the celebrity.

Exactly! Fighting with Letterman as a major theme is a loser even if her groupies disagree.

I’m just thinking there ought to be a ‘BARF ALERT’ with this #0R$E$#!T hit piece thinly disguised as “analysis”.

The writer could not think his way out of a wet paper sack; downing the viability of the gay rights/marriage issues for Conservatives - right on the heels of so many states passing ballot measures into law prohibiting the licensing or recognition of gay marriages - and those measures surviving the scrutiny of )activist liberal) State supreme courts...

This calls to mind an image of a boxer on the mat with two black eyes and a bloody broken nose, slurring out “ D’you give up yet?”

And so the GOP should abandon all hope of anything other than an appeal to a “narrow base” on the basis of issues of social conservatism...?!

ROTFLM*AO!!

Please - nobody write to these idiots to point out their errors to them - it will be so much sweeter to see the surprised looks of unexpected defeat on their faces!

When I think about potential presidential candidates, I find myself looking for experience, wisdom, and gravitas. To me, the future president looks more like Cheney than like Palin. I think she *might* be ready for the Big Show in two more presidential cycles, if she adds to her resume and really devotes herself to learning all the things she needs to be president. And yes, I realize that she already has more experience than Obama ... but so what? He is nothing to write home about, as we all know. The European leaders snicker about him behind his back, as being wet behind the ears — and they’re right. We shouldn’t field a GOP candidate who is still learning on the job. We need someone who truly is ready from Day 1. And I’m not at all convinced that Sarah Palin is that candidate, at least not for 2012.

Instead of trying to be like the one we run against, an exact opposite sounds like a good idea. Palin is Female, white, fiscally conservative, honest, beautiful, Christian, educated in America, born in America, has Christian parents, wants a strong America, never needs to lie, puts her hand over her heart when the national anthem is played, understands American values, cannot be bought, is not beholden to evil interests, never studied at a Muslim school, and you know she will always put America’s interests ahead of anything else.
Sarah Palin is the exact opposite of Barak Hussein Obama who bows to Saudi princes and who is doing everything possible to destroy America. Hundreds of thousands of people would everything possible to elect her to replace the monster in our White House.

The future for the GOP lies with fiscal conservatism and strong national security policy—not with turning back the clock.

John Parisella, the author, is an idiot, blind or recovering from a three year coma. The rats took over Congress starting in 2006 by running new candidates who were social conservatives on abortion and the Second Amendment where necessary.

If the GOP cuts loose that vote, then say hello to the latest party that joined the Whigs. The GOP's history of fiscal conservatism was lost with Bush the Younger.

“ut the Republicans are losing potential candidates at a pace that is downright alarming”

They’re losing supporters and voters, too. They seem to have become irrelevant.

Truth is the McCain/Palin ticket was up 8 pts. days prior to September 18th. Obama was heading south until the economy conveniently “collapsed.” That along with the ACORN fix in close states put Obama in the WH.
