McCain's Camp Praises Sanford and Trashes Palin? [Fox says McCain "de facto leader" of GOP] [barf]
Fox News ^ | 2009-07-01 | Tammy Bruce

People like John McCain and others who have been part of the self-absorbed, navel-gazing and corrupt Washington environment for a quarter century no doubt resent someone not "of them." But it is indeed odd when Sarah Palin, a bright, shining light for conservatives remains the prime target of the existing machine, while Mark Sanford and other hypocritical liars are serenaded as getting a raw deal by the very public daughter of a defacto leader of the party.

Obviously, McCain needs somebody to take the blame that he’s not conservative enough.

I got this from John just the other day... (my reply was in the spirit of General McAullife... “Not one penny” - What I should have added is that my contribution was because of Sarah.)

My Friend,

As I travel around Arizona, I am always humbled by the dedicated men and women I meet in my home state. I am so honored to serve as one of Arizona’s Senators and I want you to know that together, we have accomplished a great deal. We are taking positive steps toward economic reform and we are preparing for a vigorous debate on healthcare in the Senate.

But there is still more to accomplish on issues like healthcare reform, national security and earmark reform and that is why I want to continue my service to our country as a member of the United States Senate.

You may have read that I am now facing opponents in the Republican primary. I want you to know that I am taking nothing for granted in this campaign. I am committed to winning reelection.

You have so generously supported me in the past, and for that I am very grateful. I would not be where I am today without your support. Today, I hope you will show that you are one of my strongest supporters by signing my Reelection Pledge of Support.

The end of June marks a key deadline for my reelection campaign, as we will be filing our fundraising numbers with the FEC. The national Democrats, the media, and my opponents will use these numbers as a sign of my reelection campaign’s strength.

Will you show your support for my reelection effort today by adding your name to the Reelection Pledge of Support and make a special contribution of $25, $50, $100, $250 or more to help us reach our fundraising goal?

Our campaign is very close to meeting our second quarter fundraising goal. That’s why I ask that you immediately follow this link to make your urgent contribution to my reelection effort.

I am truly thankful for your generosity and I look forward to keeping you informed on our progress in finding solutions for our nation’s challenges.

Sincerely,

John McCain

P.S. I hope to continue my service as a United States Senator, but I won’t be able to do so without your help. I’m asking you to sign my Reelection Pledge of Support and make a generous contribution of any amount so we can meet our second quarter fundraising goal. Thank you.

Tonight's Special report panel basically trashed Sarah. Charles Krauthammer should not be allowed on the panel because he clearly hates her.

Sarah and Rep. Michelle Bachmann are two on my favorites.

I think GOP men in their league may be DeMint and Inhofe.

McCain doesn’t really have a “camp” anymore since his defeat. This attack on Palin is coming from a bunch of unemployed beltway RINO underlings who worked for McCain’s campaign and are now out of a job.

McCain will never be president. 2008's failed attempt is the nearest he will get. He only got as close as he did BECAUSE of Palin. He is almost, but not totally worthless to the country in general, and to conservatives in particular for only two reasons:

First, he introduced America to Sarah Palin. A true conservative, who happens to be in the republican party, and a real American.

Second, he was such a weak candidate, following on the heels of an even weaker republican (NOT conservative) president Bush, that the democrat (leftist) party took over the entire government.

The leftists will so weaken our country, and destroy the average citizen's (subject's?) quality of life, that a conservative rebellion is almost guaranteed in 2010 and 2012.

Hang it up, John. Nobody respects you, your policies, or your opinion anymore.

For some reason, Meghan McCain, writing in The Daily Beast, seems to think adulterous politicians, like South Carolina Governor Mark Sanford, should be forgiven and can still do a darn good job representing their constituents. Why? Because lying, cheating and betraying the ones closest to you should not at all be held against you nor should it make people presume you might betray complete strangers known as "constituents." While you use tax payer money to indulge in your cheating. And while it exposes you to blackmail and other sundry stuff. Not at all. No Sirree. Because, you see, marriage can be "complicated." Gee, I wonder where she gets these ideas?

Now to John McCain's other people who just can't seem to stop maligning Sarah Palin. A woman who was chosen by them, a woman who single-handedly made the John McCain campaign relevant and viable. And what do they do in return? Continue their own backstabbing jihad. Why? Maybe because she doesn't fit the scenario noted above by Meghan "Deep Thoughts" McCain? The more likely scenario, of course, is those in charge of the Worst Campaign in History want someone else to blame.

Bingo!! As Tammy says, Sarah is a politician, a wife, and a mother who has done a lot for her state and isn't a lying, cheating, adulterous hypocrite, and I totally agree with that analysis.

Her enemies won't ever praise her virtues and values, though they have no problem with the moral deficiencies of weak politicians like Sanford who continue to elaborate on his peccadilloes to a fascinated mainstream media.  Sarah's supporters genuinely appreciate her and think she deserves our respect.
