July 2009 sees nearly 6 months since George W Bush entered private life and as we have done in previously monthly threads I have collated photos from the month we are in from previous years.

Tonight I will post July 2001 and July 2002 photos and then over the next few days post 2003 and 2004 photos.

I have also found some photos from this June which I will also post in the next few days starting with one of them as the photo of the month.

Enjoy your visit to Sanity Island

THANK YOU FOR ALL YOUR ARTICLE POSTINGS...This one I just don't understand...So, the car may cost $200,000. and each officer makes $400,000. ---Wow, I'd do it for free!!! (and perhaps I need to change professions!)

The $1 million figure is based on the cost of providing two officers in a squad car on a 24-hour basis for one year.

"We have had officers out there frequently because of the crowds and traffic," Kunkle said. How long the department will post officers in the neighborhood "depends on the amount of interest and curiosity. I don't know how long we will have to commit people."

Well then kids...you're going to need to schedule officers WELL into the future, because this ain't no X42's house that NO ONE has an interest in...THIS IS W & LAURA'S HOUSE AND EVERYONE IS INTERESTED AND CURIOUS!!!!!!! AND WILL BE FOR YEARS AND YEARS AND YEARS TO COME.

Thanks for posting this, too. I enjoyed the pics...the first couple I looked at with CA eyes, and the rooms had a definite TX feel--or what I would think a TX Ranch house with class would contain. The difference is interesting to me. Then...came pic 7 I believe it was....OH MY...

W...I LOVE YOUR CLOSET!!!! ....Now, THAT is a closet, my friends!!!

Yeah, I didn't remember any turret or octagonal shapes in the pictures we'd seen, and I though it looked more like a ranch.

It doesn't look that large from the street, though, but I guess a lot of it is hidden from view behind the trees in that street view

Heh, yeah, the closet was great. When we remodel, I’m going to install an ‘closet system’. It won’t be quite as lovely as theirs, but it’s gonna be nice.

If you look carefully in the upper photo, you can see an orangish arrow pointing to the angle of the lower photo. And you can see one of the dormers in the close up from the street that you can see from the aerial.

I think the reason you can't see how big it is from the street is that the trees are blocking it.

It's really a lovely home....not too big, but spacious. Perfect for when the girls come home with the grandkids. :)

It looks, from the street view, as though the front door opens into room leads to another room with a large window or door to the back yard. Lovely.

I'm guessing that photo #2 in the slide show is in the front, and photo #5 is in the back, and that the windows on the right in the front look out on the backyard.

You think maybe?

There's a lot of light in the bedroom and bathroom photos, so there must be windows everywhere. I remember that the President and Laura wanted big windows at their ranch, and had large windows in their bedroom so that they could watch the Texas sunrise.

(In our bedroom, I would never see one because I'm never up that early. ;)

You're a night owl, too? The only way I'd see a sunrise is if I were just getting to bed at that time. ;o)

LOL! That sounds about right.

My favorite saying......

"If God had meant for us to see the sunrise, He would have made it later in the day."

Pretty much says it all. :)

The Anchoress has a link from Reuters that shows the sissy pitch Zerobama threw, but they cut all the booing out that he got
