INDEPENDENCE HALL TEA PARTY/PICNIC TO BE HELD JULY 4TH Philadelphia (July 1, 2009) Talk Show Host Dom Giordano will be a featured speaker at the Independence Hall Tea Party III to be held July 4th from 12 noon-3PM on Independence Mall, 5th and Chestnut Streets.
The celebratory, family-style tea party/picnic, sponsored by the Independence Hall Tea Party Association, will include a Colonial Costume Contest, a Tea Party Sign Contest, musical entertainment, activities for children, and information tables. On April 18, 2009, over 1800 people attended
Philadelphia Tea Party II on Independence Mall. Peoplewere eager to express their support for limited government and lower taxes, said organizer, Chris Clemency. The politicians have ignored our message, so were coming back.
Redeem the Vote President, Pastor Bill Devlin, will kick-off the July 4th event at noontimeimmediately following the ringing of the Centennial Bellwith a talk commemorating the 233rd Anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. A special tribute to recently deceased Radio Talk Show Host, Irv Homer, will be given by WBCB-AM Co-host, John Diprimio.
At 1pm, an array of notable speakers will address hot button issues such as Cap and Trade, Universal Health Care, Card Check, the Fairness Doctrine, and the Freedom of Choice Act. Speakers include Special Guest, (former) New Jersey Gubernatorial Candidate Steve Lonegan; State Representative Curt Schroder; Libertarian Constitutional Expert, Michael Badnarik, Dr. Robert Sklaroff (Oncologist,Hematologist); Activist and Émigré, Ana Puig; and Pro-life Spokeswoman, Katie Fleming.
Television Personality, Consumer Advocate, and Newspaper Columnist, Herb Denenberg, has been chosen to give the keynote address. The 2009 Franklin Award for Courageous Journalism will be presented to Bulletin Publisher, Tom Rice.
This event is free and open to the public. Attendees are encouraged to bring friends, family, signs, picnic baskets, and lawn chairs. # # #
