On health care, Romney pointed to the successes of his own plan but criticized Obama's for its emphasis on a public option.
"The president's plan makes an enormous error by saying we're going to put government into the insurance business. We got everyone in Massachusetts insured and we did it without putting government into the insurance business," he said. "We said instead we're going to help people get private free enterprise kind of insurance they can buy from a number of different companies."
He said the system led to plunging premiums while offering a healthy choice of options for consumers.
"It's working well. We got 440,000 more people insured than when the plan was put in place, it costs less than 2 percent of the state budget -- it's a plan that's working, it's a good model," he said.

To me, both George Bushes were RINO's. They were both wishy-washy moderates, and I never would have nominated either of them. But Rush Limbaugh wasn't running, so I showed up and voted for the Bushes, because they were much better than the alternatives.
I truly fear our country is lost. Vote fraud, campaign finance fraud, Welfare voters, white-guilt yuppies, and Conservative who would rather play "Holier-than-thou" than win elections.

Further Reagan had to make compromises with a Democrat Congress and he did. I don't care about "establishment pubbies" and who you decide to label as such or who you yell bullcrap at. Get a grip. Are you worried I might vote for Romney against a "real conservative"? Get your real conservative in the game before you worry about that and alienate lots of people who probably would support your candidate. Right now, I don't see a real conservative. Maybe it's Palin, maybe it's not. There's a few years before we know who's in the game anyway.
The Rudy-tooters tried the same crap in 2007. It's hardly a surprise to see the Mitt apologists resort to the same.
I gave the example of Bush the younger being more conservative than Bush the elder, and W won two elections on his own accord, whereas HW only won running on Reagan's coattails. Goldwater? The country wasn't ready yet. However, the country is still 40 percent self-identified as conservative, and there are plenty of blue-collar Dems who will cross over for the right candidate.
So go ahead with your next lie. It's what the RINO apologists do best. Other than losing presidential elections.

Bush the elder won on Reagan's coattails. When he ran on his own record in 1992, he got trounced. Bush the younger was more conservative than Bush but not as conservative as Reagan. And he had two very close elections.
So the lesson is, RINO-breath, is for the GOP to run a center-right conservative, not a RINO.

Oh, and once again, the bill Reagan signed had exactly those provisions - provisions that are accepted by many in the pro-life movement. The poster claimed that Reagan used to be in favor of abortion, which is a blatant lie.
