Zelaya accused of drug ties

BOGOTA – The regime that ousted Manuel Zelaya in Honduras claimed Tuesday that the deposed president allowed tons of cocaine to be flown into the Central American country on its way to the United States.

"Every night, three or four Venezuelan-registered planes land without the permission of appropriate authorities and bring thousands of pounds ... and packages of money that are the fruit of drug trafficking," its foreign minister, Enrique Ortez, told CNN en Espanol.

"We have proof of all of this. Neighboring governments have it. The DEA has it," he added.

U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration spokesman Rusty Payne in Washington said he could neither confirm nor deny a DEA investigation.

Zelaya was traveling from New York to Washington and could not immediately be reached to respond to the allegations.

Frankly, I don’t think 90% of the people in the US are even aware there was anything going on in Honduras. Of the remaining 10% about 90% of them only watch Government controlled media and believe there was an unlawful coup leaving 1% who pay attention and know what went on. Only about 1/2 of those give a damn. Some of that .05% percentage are liberal socialist marxist supporters who support the return to power of Zelaya.

I have seen accounts of this in the Spanish press (from Spain, that is). Zelaya was known for corruption, a lot of it having to do with drugs, the “revolutionary’s” favorite funding source.

Zelaya is cuckoo:
For weeks, Zelaya -- an erratic leftist who styles himself after his good pal Hugo Chávez of Venezuela -- has been engaged in a naked and illegal power grab, trying to rewrite the Honduran constitution to allow him to run for reelection in November.

First Zelaya scheduled a national vote on a constitutional convention. After the Honduran supreme court ruled that only the country's congress could call such an election, Zelaya ordered the army to help him stage it anyway. (It would be ''non-binding,'' he said.) When the head of the armed forces, acting on orders from the supreme court, refused, Zelaya fired him, then led a mob to break into a military base where the ballots were stored.

His actions have been repudiated by the country's supreme court, its congress, its attorney-general, its chief human-rights advocate, all its major churches, its main business association, his own political party (which recently began debating an inquiry into Zelaya's sanity) and most Hondurans: Recent polls have shown his approval rating down below 30 percent

Obama is wrong about Honduras

The country will be returned to the Marxist

Hey, if Al Franken can fight his way from an electoral loss into the Senate...anything is possible. :(

After three days of slobbering reporting by the MSM, some real reporter has finally discovered that Honduras is a narcoeconomy and the cocaine wholesale trade has quadrupled under Zelaya.

It’s unfortunate Obama so rapidly stands on the same side as Venezuela’s Chavez!

The Republican party are a bunch of IDOTS for not exposing the Democrats for the Marxists they truly are.

Mr Republican Senator, Congressman,
Have you ever taken money or been associated with Center for American Progress or any other communist front origination funded by Mr Soros?

After several discussions with my 16 yr. old nephew, I can agree with what you say.

There are many older people who just don’t want to get involved, they stick their heads in the sand, or are too old to care anymore. Then there are the ones who still believe in, “we are America... we’ve always come through.” Nothing will ever change that. What blinders they have on.

Boy are they going to be surprised. I don’t think there will be any walk of life that won’t be hurt by this Dick-tater.

I see he is very, very worried about his fellow Communists.

"Take that Obama. Sucks when the world doesn’t bow to your every whim doesn’t it? Merkel, Sarkozy and now the Hondurans aren’t having it buddy. Suckah!!!"

Add to that the others who won't bow to him: Iranian Mullahs, North Korea, Arabs, Israel... that boy has been bent over and taken for a good long drive by the world.
