A Real Duke Rape Case
http://www.thenewamerican.com ^ | 30 June 2009 15:15 | Written by Selwyn Duke

We all remember the infamous Duke University rape frame-up case, in which three white lacrosse players were falsely accused of raping a black female stripper. It was front-page news coast to coast, as it had all the elements of a mainstream-media cause célèbre: the perfect victim and the perfect villains, a “downtrodden” black woman of modest means and three “privileged” white college boys. Thus did the hard-left alliance of media, academia, and a Democrat prosecutor try its best to lynch the three, and if the stripper’s story hadn’t changed with the wind, the students could very well be sitting in prison currently.

But now we have a real Duke rape case, and one that largely conforms to the above narrative. Frank Lombard, Duke’s associate director of the Center for Health Policy, faces federal criminal charges for offering his adopted five-year-old adopted son for sex. Where are the parallels? Lombard is white and well-to-do while his victim, the son, is black (Lombard also has a second adopted son, who is black as well).

Yet there are also differences. One is that, unlike the tenuous lacrosse-player case, authorities have Lombard dead to rights. Writes the blog Self Evident Truths:

The arrest warrant states that a person, later identified as Lombard, used video chat on the internet to perfom [sic] sex acts on a child under the age of ten.... The complaint says Lombard's chat room ID lists him as "perv dad for fun."

The warrant states that an astute police detective contacted Lombard through Yahoo! Instant Messenger. Lombard admitted performing sexual acts on his adopted five year old son. He wrote that he would drug the boy with Benadryl before molesting him. He admitted that he waited to molest the boy until his partner was out of town.

The warrant continues describing the next day, when Lombard offered his five year old to the detective to perform sex acts on him. The detective said he lived out of state, making the solicitation a federal offense.

There are also other differences between the cases. One is that there is no reason to expect the media to do anything but bury this story posthaste. Why? Because, despite the aforementioned parallels, it doesn’t completely accord with today’s favored victimizer/victim narrative, as Lombard is a homosexual, making the victim a child who was adopted by a homosexual. Thus, while Lombard’s sexual inclination alone is enough to make the effluent-stream media treat this case with the “utmost discretion,” there is an additional factor: disseminate the facts of the crime enough, and people just may get the crazy notion that it’s lunacy to let homosexuals adopt children, especially little boys. So you’ve just got to watch the information you put in the yahoos’ heads.

Not surprisingly, this double standard is already apparent in the reportage. In the Duke lacrosse case, not only was the story front page, but an accuser of the easiest virtue was painted in the best light. For example, the stripper was often called an “exotic dancer,” which is much like calling a prostitute an exotic blind date. In contrast, now the mainstream media seem most reluctant to reveal Lombard’s homosexuality or the adopted victim’s race.

So, as far as how this story will most likely unfold, there are four things I cannot envision happening. First, I don’t foresee Duke’s administration and faculty coming out as a lynch mob and convicting Lombard in the court of public opinion. Second, don’t expect Jesse Jackson et al. to venture to Durham County and play the race card like a Vegas high roller, even though this case lends itself perfectly to it. A white man who adopts a black boy to keep as a sex slave, anyone?

Next, at risk of being redundant, don’t hold your breath waiting for the mainstream stream media to get on board; like the National Organization for Women, with its deafening silence regarding the savaging of Sarah Palin and women’s plight in Moslem nations, they care not about little victims but leftist agendas.

Lastly, the News & Observer tells us that Lombard is “a licensed clinical social worker with a master's degree in social work, [and] is a health-disparities researcher who studies HIV/AIDS in the rural South” (read: professional victimologist). So, not that any more evidence of his ideological persuasion was necessary, but it’s obvious that the man is thoroughly liberal in his professional life — and libertine in his personal life. Yet don’t expect the purveyors of pablum to be point this out, either.

Speaking of the race card, the hierarchy of victim groups is much like a deck of cards: black is a good hand, but it’s trumped by female. And, it appears, homosexual trumps everything.

Blogs are pushing this. The media wants it forgotten and gone. It effects their homosexual agenda in a bad way.

A commune of fruits with 20 of these black kids , and the media hiding in their hidey holes so they do not have to report it.

Where is that courageous man of the cloth Al Sharpton and his mush mouthed friend Jesse jackson?? Wel;l they dont want the homo’s after them either and after all it just means the sacrifice of one little black boy.

Where are the 88 teachers and faculty who wanted to lynch the rich white boys. Why are they so quiet-—probably because they live in that commune of queers.

Where the North Carolina NAACP, which was almost obsessed with going after the lacrosse players, even after DNA proved them to be innocent?

They have more important issues and are too busy for this. They are pushing to get one NC county to move the Confederate Soldier memorial.

This sad story really brings out the hypocrisy of the left. I Haven’t heard them discuss this on any of the morning shows.

Part of it is that people like Al are just as much manipulated by the media as they are the manipulators of it. A couple of things I’m working on. Trying to get a good list of churches and victims rights orgs in North Carolina. I’ve been emailing a handful of larger denominations.

Absolutely sick and disgusting. But you know what? Since our illustrious president is hot on pushing through his little bill that a sexual behaviour that was once thought to be abormal is to be protected, what’s the big deal about pedophilia? I’m sure it’s just the way the guy was made - it’s not his fault. The article is correct, bet this doesn’t get much in the way of media time. Makes you wonder if they’ve gotten those poor little boys away from this creep.

I have always said that I do not like the way that gays rear kids.

Why don't the Feds go through this queer community kicking in doors and burning down the houses the way they do when it's a Christian group?

Frankly, I find it very strange that this "Eno Commons Community" where these gay freaks all live with 20 other slave children had an adult-child "secret pal week" event that ran through Valentines day?

From the enocommons.org website:

"Secret Pal brings neighbors together...

Seven years ago they started the Secret Pal week tradition to celebrate Valentine's Day at Eno Commons.

The goal of Secret Pal week is to promote interaction between adults and kids. Adults are asked to volunteer to be a secret pal and are matched with a child. During the week leading up to Valentine's Day, the adults give their secret pal children little gifts and clues, but the adults keep their identity a secret. At the end of the week, the kids prepare the brunch.

It is fun watching the kids huddling together trying to guess who their secret pal is. Can you think of a better way to connect kids with adults?

Evidently, they have other ways of connecting adults to kids there.

They did take the two african american boys out of his and the other man’s custody. What gets me is that the other man is automatically shifted to the back ground. I have a real hard time believing this guy is the sole perp. These little kids would’ve had major damage and irritation to their...well you get the point. I travel with my work but there is no way I wouldn’t noticed something like that. I have a feeling the sickness to this story is only beginning. I’m going to try to find Frank’s male lover’s name.

There’s not much to discuss about the man and his crimes. There’s overwhelming, recorded evidence against the guy, he was immediately put on unpaid leave by Duke, and there’s good reason to keep public discussion of the details to a minimum, since it involves a young boy who’s already got enough problems without the gory details of sexual crimes perpetrated against him getting sprawled all over the internet where his friends will still be able to dig them up when he’s in his adolescent/teen years.

What should be discussed, and hopefully will pushed into the center of attention by the blogosphere, is how this guy ended up running a health policy center at Duke. It sure doesn’t sound like he’s been knocking himself out climbing the ladder of academia. What are his qualifications, and who else applied for the position and was turned down? My guess is that his chief qualification was reliably spouting the standard socialist dogma about health care.

There should also be some serious investigation into what screening was done before he was allowed to adopt a child. Did he really have no detectable history of this sort of behavior? Was he subjected to the same screening that heterosexual would-be adopters are subjected to? Did he get basically a free ride through the screening process based on his respectable position spouting leftist dogma at a leading university? I’m guessing the answer to at least the last question is “Yes”, which leaves Duke in the hotseat for handing respectability credentials to this sicko.

Benadryl they used to zombi the kid up, and they might has well have killed the kid. This is necrophilliac and genocidal in sheer disgustingness. Kinsey, Dr. Mengele and Nazis must be proud. The gay fascism is on the march.

No wonder Obama wants to liberalize drugs, legalize infanticide, euthanasia and homosexuality etc...

This is the legacy witch brew we are currently facing.

The elites may look at it that way, but I'm thinking the typical black person might look at this case in a slightly different manner.

An Episcopal church in my area has a sign outside of the church advertising that it welcomes EVERYBODY. And they really do - including gays. Now isn’t that special.

A couple of years ago, it was discovered that the head of the ACLU in Virginia was caught with internet child porn of a very violent sort. It was just a blip in the media and then no more was heard about this until Bill O’Reilly brought it up.

It never ceases to amaze me how so many people today can be so educated and so vile and depraved.
