IIRC, there is a constitutional safeguard concerning any amendment affecting the presidency: were the 22nd to be repealed, the lifting of term limits would not apply to the presidential incumbent at the time of its repeal, but only to his successor(s).

you’re assuming that any legal limitations will be abided by.

Leftists seriously consider law to be an impediment to be ignored because it binds the present brilliant elite to rules that were made in the past by other, less informed, people.

Any such safeguard would have to be part of the new amendment itself.

There is no such "safeguard" in the Constitution.
