WASHINGTON, Jun 29, 2009 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- First Lady Michelle Obama today visited Unity's Upper Cardozo Health Center and announced the release of $851 million in grants to address immediate and pressing health center facility and equipment needs and increase access to health care for millions of Americans The money was made available by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act and comes as more Americans join the ranks of the uninsured due to the economic downturn and skyrocketing health costs.
"Community Health Centers provide care to the Americans who need it most and their work has never been more important," said Obama. "These grants will help Unity's Upper Cardozo and thousands of centers across the country expand and serve more Americans who simply can't afford insurance coverage anymore."

For some reason, that line just kills me...its like the pile of paperwork generated the money.
Woman never built or did anything worthwhile in her damn life. She got where she is by her skin tone.
A sign of things to come under socialized medicine...the government (and their ugly relatives) deciding which health centers should survive and which shouldn’t.
You know what, if any city, anywhere, should be a shining city on a hill because of federal spending, it should be the District of Columbia. Instead, it is a festering swamp of crime, abortions, sloth and thousands of home grown punks.
Nothing will help DC...except its own people. But that will not happen, because they believe with all their hearts, that someone owes them something.
That is why our nation’s capital will be forever a large stain on our national character.

I don’t understand why she is CONSTANTLY wearing her belts like that? She looks like a jackass.
Other than the recently unemployed Dr. Conrad Murray, who is available to staff these clinics seeing millions more Americans?
Funny how she was paid so handsomely for helping to keep the rabble out of her hospital in Chicago...
Maybe her twin, Patrick Ewing, is paying for it.
