Maybe everything has not been thought thru but there are significant items that are needed for secession already in place. One of the biggest is that Texas has it’s own power grid and much of it is nuclear based. We share any excess with other states. Texas has a lot of financial support that is Texas-based, not BoA, WF, etc. Throw in farming, ranching, and thousands of other manufacturing sites. Green? There are already several huge wind farms here. Granted what they produce is insignificant overall (the Greens should note that it takes thousands of windmills to replace one nuke), but Texas has quite a jump start on that technology, as ridiculous as most of it is.

There are shortages water being the most significant. But that is a solvable problem.

One can't travel I-10 from Houston to San Antonio without spotting a windmill transport.....

True...the eradication of the invasive cedar tree will significantly improve aquifer waater levels...

One acre of cedars can waste up to 50,000 gallons of water per year.....

Given enough nuclear power, de-salinization isn’t that unfeasible.

Maybe you should think things through. What about debt? Based on population percentage Texas’ share of the federal debt is about $900 billion. That’s a sizeable nut to take on right off the bat. You need to establish and fund your own military, your own diplomatic corps, your own regulatory agencies - I’m assuming you’ll still want your food inspected? Some of your state agencies can like the judiciary and education can be expanded to take on a national role without too much additional expense, but roughly a third of Texas is on some sort of government support - Social Security, Disability, Food Stamps, Unemployment, etc. - and what do you do about them? Air traffic control? Nice to have. Setting up a country isn’t easy or cheap, and there’s more to it than thumbing your nose at those you’re leaving.

Since you are situated on an ocean the water problem is easy once you get rid of the libtards and that is desalinization plants, as many as you need to build to make the water you need. All or our coastal states need to be doing that, but of course that would take one of the means of control away from the libtards so they won't allow it.

Some areas have a shortage of water, others have an abundance of water....where I live.
