The State Department called the events an "attempted coup" and urged Mr. Zelaya's "return and restoration of democratic order."
Note how the State Department's definition of "democratic order" includes a leader acting in blatant contravention of his country's constitution.
How long before we see popular referenda being used in this country as an end-run around the Constitution?
