Pelosi Won't Give Public a Week to Review Text of Health-Care Bill Before House Votes on It

SNIPPET: "At her press briefing on Thursday, Pelosi was asked whether the health-care bill would be handled differently than the stimulus bill, which came up in February. The 1,071-page final text of that bill was posted on the House Appropriations Committee’s Web site late on a Thursday night and then voted on the next day.

“When the stimulus bill came out earlier this year, members and citizens had less than two days to review the final version that came out of the conference committee before it was voted on,” CNSNews.com asked Pelosi on Thursday. “Will you commit to giving Americans at least a week to review the full conference version of the health care bill before it is voted on? And also will you commit to submitting the final version to the CBO [Congressional Budget Office] so that they can report the cost to the public?”

Pelosi would not commit to giving the public a week to review the bill, and did not respond to the question of having the CBO report on the cost of the final bill."

Maybe it will be all or nothing, in the end. Full on marxism or reboot with the Constitution only. When your standing in rubble there are plenty of bricks the throw.

Are you high? Of course she wouldn’t.
She’s not even going to read it herself.

OK. That’s it. There needs to be a law to prevent legislation from being passed before there has been sufficient time to examine it closely. Like a week or more.

We know already what is in it. It is KennedyCare, written long ago. The amnesty and universal healthcare, those are Ted Kennedy’s babies....so to speak.

What kills me about this, is why the American public still trusts the Rats when they blatantly lie. They said they would give 5 - 7 days for anyone and everyone to review legislation before it's voted on and they purposely ignore that stipulation and vote on a measure before anyone has a chance to look at it.

Come on America, WAKE UP!

This women does whatever she wants and gets away with it. If she was Republican, we would be saying Pelosi 2012...lol. I just can’t believe her gull. What a lucky lady. To bad she is so immoral. She will be in congress until she decides to leave. Life sure is unfair...lol.

Is it legal for them to do so, and if so, change the law so that any bill has a proportionate time to be read. So many days per pages. If they are going to do this, they have to regulated. Regulate the government, not the people.

If I were to call, besides saying we will vote you out, what legal standpoint do we have against this passing of unread, un-debated bills.

I agree. When a politician tells me he/she hasn't read the bill, and I won't be able to, either, and ain't that too bad, that's Chicago thug politics being applied. When someone leans hard on you and tries to bully you, you lean back and hit hard. What is the Republican Party doing about getting the word out about who Obama is and what he's doing to this country? How come there are no TV ads, billboard ads, radio spots, print media ads? How about some grassroots activity from the local GOP offices statewide...how about some mailings or handbills door to door? How about anything! Where is the Republican leadership. Anyone?

It's hopeless. There is no adherence to any rules or laws anymore. There is a dictatorship in DC. When is America going to take to the streets? I for one may not pay any more Federal income taxes (all within the law of course).

After hearing about what happened in Honduras, my suspicion that we have NO leadership at all has been confirmed beyond all doubt.

I agree... seems to be the only hope in stopping or at least slowing down crap legislation like this...

Whoa... Nancy Pelosi needs to take the plastic surgeon's office off speed-dial, being careful not to make any moves that might cause her face to come cascading down around her knees.

She is beginning to look frighteningly like a Spitting Image Puppet.
