It didn’t take them long to respond when several white Duke Lacrosse players were accused of raping a black stripper. A whopping 88 professors signed a statement accusing the players of both racism and rape. Such was their regard for the presumption of innocence.

They should have all been fired for this public lynching.

Where are the protests now?

His arrest comes about a year after the Court decided that child rapists cannot be executed because “society” has “evolved” to the point where such executions would be “indecent.”

What a stupid sentence.
If we still have people that rape children then obviously society has NOT evolved to the point where such executions would be indecent...

A gay man involved in pedophilia. No way. Never happens.

Do I have to put a sarcasm tag?

he is at Duke for the sake of diversity, doncha know.

by the way, what is the function of the Center for Health Policy. Is it one of those add-ons that provide places to place their non-teaching staff for purposes of diversity, and running up tuition costs?

Many thanks to Prof. Adams for getting the facts about this story.

It’ll be ignored by the media to the same outrageous extent that the Duke lacrosse case was hyped.

He gets only 20 years if convicted of being a vile pedophile predator?

I think the investigators should look into that Genesis Home. These pedo-nutcases network somehow, so I am suspicious of that place now. There may be nothing wrong at Genesis Home, but it wouldn't hurt to look into them a little bit.

Oh wait, nobody was convicted yet so I guess we can't assume this guy did this stuff or comment on it. At least that would be the case if his last name was Jackson.

We can expect the full page ad signed by faculty that proclaim the man’s guilt - any day now...

The Associate Press (AP) did not mention the fact that the five-year old offered up for molestation was black. Bringing that fact to light might be damaging to the political coalition that exists between blacks and gays. Nor did the AP mention that the adopted child is being raised by a homosexual couple. Bringing that fact to light might harm the gay adoption movement.

Well, probably neither item was newsworthy. If anyone wanted to know, I'm sure they would have mentioned it.

If Lombard is convicted, he faces a maximum of 20 years in prison.

In all soberness I believe we need to incorporate the French razor into our judicial system.

Editors at the networks and newspapers should be deluged with calls to cover the new “Duke Rape Case”.

If this case goes to trial, it could be an interesting one to watch. But it will be just as interesting to watch the Duke faculty respond to these allegations

The Marxists don't go after one of their own.

What? Use the Saul Alinsky technique of **personally** destroying someone who is a fellow Marxist? Nope! That technique is reserved for the enemy ( us).

Calling Al Sharpton....where are you? Any bet takers? What are the odds of Al making an appearance in this Duke rape case?

What political coalition? Blacks are probably one of the most identifiably homophobic groups in the country. They only vote for the same people for different reasons, like libertarians and social conservatives voting for Republicans.

So I did some digging on the local fishwraps’ websites about this story. The Durham Herald-Sun, my local paper, had absolutely nothing regarding this, at least not that I could find because their website is a total piece of badly-designed drek. I know this is an old story, but you’d think there’d be SOME angle on it, wouldn’t you?

The Raleigh News & Observer had one story that I easily found...in which Lombard’s neighbors refused to let reporters into the neighborhood to talk to them. Turns out that Lombard lives in north Durham in a “co-housing” community, which is a place where “residents share common space” and make decisions “communally.”

No stories on Genesis House. No mention of the race of the child(ren?) involved. No cries for Lombard’s head from the Duke or the greater Durham community. Nothing.
