LOL. That is true. I remember when he reemerged on the pop scene.
My first reaction was that’s not Michael Jackson from the Jackson 5. I just didn’t recognize him as the same person.
Well, Happy Birthday to Momma!
See my number 76, this thread. It ain’t no surprise, it is meant to be that way. I’ve been doing this thread for 11 years. The media.gov is getting away with it and everyone just wants to b!tch about the politicians. The watchers are pleased.
They should be.
So the Administration puts forth the UN Ambassador to speak on Iran rather than the Sec. of State.
Something is going on with Hillary. She didn’t make an overseas trip allegedly because of her recovery from surgery on her elbow, but the trip was 5 or 6 days after that surgery which was for a broken bone after all. Not open heart or brain surgery. I don’t believe the excuse.
Also, she has brought back Sid Blumenthal and we all know what that guy is about. Personal destruction of enemies.
I credit Bush's slim victory in 2000 [a few hundred votes in Gov. Jeb Bush's FL and Gore couldn't win in his home state] to the legacy of impeached Bill "I didn't have sex with that woman" Clinton. Despite the fact that Gore won the popular vote, the electoral votes decided the issue. Rove and Bush were very fortunate. And so were we.
Reelection in the midst of an increasingly unpopular war
Rove almost blew the 2004 election against the most liberal senator from the most liberal state in the nation. Kerry made it a contest despite the fact that he called his fellow Vietnam veterans murderers, criminals, etc; had a phony war record; consulted with the NV and Viet Cong in Paris while still a reserve officer: participated in a group that advocated the assassination of US officials, i.e., the Vietnam Veterans Against the War; tossed away his medals; had a non-existent record of legislative achievements as a senator; lacked any charisma; and had a disagreeable wife just to mention a few of his negatives.
I credit the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth for the defeat of Kerry. Rove was afraid to go after Kerry's anti-war activities because he felt intimidated by Kerry's phony war record being matched against Bush's service in the air national guard. The SBVFT froze the Kerry campaign like a deer in the headlights for over three weeks.
Rove's strategy has been to co-opt the Dem issues like health care and education, which is why we have an $8 trillion unfunded expansion of the entitlement programs, the biggest since Medicare and the no child left behind program that doubled federal expenditures on education. The Reps received no credit for these programs and the Dems want to expand them.
Rove is a political handler who lacks principles and convictions. He is similar to a Dick Morris or James Carville who are more interested in winning in the short term than building a party based on a strong foundation of values and principles. We lost control of Congress in 2006 as a result. The GOP brand has suffered grievous harm. It would be unthinkable that the Dems would be considered by the public to be the party best able to handle the economy. That is changing now, but Bush's big spending ways changed the GOP's image.
Rove supported amnesty when the majority of Reps were against it. Bush signed McCain-Feingold when he could have vetoed it. Rove is a legend in his own mind and we should stop listening to him when it comes to the future of the GOP.
Playing identity politics is a loser for the GOP.
The bad news from Susan Rice...these idiots are still willing to talk to Iran, thereby legitimizing the regime.
And talks have, as we know, been useless as they will continue to be. The only thing we can offer Iran that hasn’t been offered already is a promise to do nothing if they strike Israel, which may be Zero’s plan.
LOL. I am not trying to persuade you of anything. Your admiration of Rove says more about you than it does him. I guess you are a big Colin Powell fan too.
I think you’ve made my point more than sufficiently well.
Thank you very much.
LOL.
Good catch!
Don't you have anything else to do today?
Zero is panting after an agreement with Iran - thinks it will show the world he is a great international "peacemaker" - and the Iranians have already told him that if he wants negotiations he must change US policy toward Israel, so he's doing it. Anything they want.
GMTA, Bucky Beaver.
Brit Hume thinks Zero may have shot himself in the foot with his “stimulus” spending which has, of course, stimulated very little, as we all knew it wouldn’t.
It makes it very hard to do the rest of the damage to our country that he was planning on since most of us actually want our economy to recover and to work.
He also said that he very much doubts that this insane “climate change” bill will go anywhere in the Senate, so take heart all, but do not fail to contact your Senator and others.
Yea, but Rush started calling this babe the “girl from Impanima” (song of Joao and Astrid Gilberto - bossa nova sound) which is a beach in Rio.
Rush may “apologize” Monday. Maybe not. Stay tuned.
That’s back on ebay? ROFL
Exactly, we need to keep up the heat on the senate. I don’t believe a thing Dingy Hairy says.
He’s an idiotic loser, but I don’t think he should resign either.
Why should the dems be the only ones who ‘get away with it.?’
