MOSCOW (AFP) The United States and Russia will sign a military cooperation agreement when US President Barack Obama visits in July, Moscow's top military commander said Friday after meeting his US counterpart.
The announcement reflects warming ties between Moscow and Washington and would have been unthinkable last August when the Georgia crisis pushed their relations to the lowest point since the Cold War. *snip*
"We reached an absolutely identical understanding that in the world there are many more threats and challenges that we should solve on the political and military levels," he said, quoted by all three major Russian news agencies.

Lemme make sure I'm getting straight what's going on here:
The Obama administration is standoffish and unfriendly to the UK while simultaneously warming up to Russia? Am I reading this right?

Yes.
In the event the peasants in America revolt and the U.S, Military refuses to suppress them, he can call on his commie buddies in Moscow to send troops to put down the revolt.
Sort of like Chavez and Castro did.

So, is the agreement to help each other in the event our people revolt?

"Obama is due to visit on July 6-8 in a bid to improve relations with Russia that were badly strained under the administration of his predecessor, George W. Bush."
I never noticed any strain ...

We plan to reduce our nuclear arsenal and not build new ones. Russia concurs that we should do that but they shouldn’t.
Voila- an understanding.

The announcement reflects warming ties between Moscow and Washington and would have been unthinkable last August when the Georgia crisis pushed their relations to the lowest point since the Cold War. *snip* Russia is, as we speak, beginning maneuvers in the Northern Caucuses region. Last year's maneuvers were cover for what became a Russian invasion of parts of Georgia. It looks pretty obvious based on what Russia is saying & doing that they mean to take the rest of Georgia... and Obama isn't going to do squat.

Off course they can do whatever they want , their military is men only. Not that it means anything tougher just that they dont have to run social experiments to feel good.
They do it old way pile up artillery and armor and plow through. They don’t build schools either.
It works.

Well, at that point the question from behind every blade of grass should be "What color are their helmets?"...
