The woman at the heart of a media firestorm following South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford's admission of an affair can be seen in a 2001 video working as a freelance reporter for an Argentine TV station.
The video, posted online by Argentine news site Infobae.com, shows Maria Belen Chapur delivering a report from New York City on the aftermath of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks for a TV news show called "Despues de hora" on the Spanish-language America network.
"Maria Belen was working as a freelance journalist for that show," Sebastian Aguirre, who worked on the show with Chapur, told FOXNews.com.
Sanford revealed Wednesday that he was cheating on his wife with a woman in Argentina. Local media report that Chapur is Sanford's mistress, though Sanford has not identified her publicly.
Chapur, 43, lives in an upscale apartment complex in a trendy neighborhood of Buenos Aires. She has not been seen there since Sanford confessed publicly to his affair.

I humbly apologize for my rudeness to you. I thought you were calling Sanford a pig, and maybe he is......I thought you were male, and of course I was wrong...thanks for setting the record straight...and I am happy you don’t cheat on your family...what a lucky mom you are.

In the SECOND pic, she’s hot. In that first picture, she’s horrible and Sandford’s wife runs circles around her in thehotness department. So I’d have to see a lot more pictures, personally.
