Mullahs Cannot Stop the Persian Reawakening
The American Thinker ^ | June 26, 2009 | Alicia Colon

Posted on 06/26/2009 1:08:32 AM PDT by Scanian

Iran is now saying that Neda was killed because she was mistaken for the sister of an Iranian "terrorist." A photograph of Neda Agha-Soltan on CNN.com shows a beautiful young woman with shining hair and a winsome smile unfettered by the traditional Islamic garb worn by women in the Middle East. I've seen many women who look like Neda since February, 2007 when I met my first Persian.

I was at the office of the New York Sun when I kept getting a call from a mysterious man who insisted on meeting me in person. He told me he was referred by a writer who writes for the New York Times and that he wanted to give me an important story. I checked out the writer who confirmed that she felt the Sun would be a better fit-in other words, this was not something the Times would be interested in but she thought it was worth exploring.

It turns out the gentleman was an Iranian dissident and he wanted me to know what was going on in Iran because no one in the media wanted to publicize it. Frankly I was fascinated by what I learned and wrote:

"There are, in fact, two Irans, and the lesser known one to most Americans is undergoing a renaissance that the ruling Iranian mullahs fear the most. If the Persians are awakened to their identity as children of Cyrus the Great, who wrote mankind's first charter of human rights, these oppressive regimes will topple domino-style. Besides Iran, the Persian heritage is embedded in Iraq and Afghanistan, and were it to be rekindled, a revolution unheard of in scope could occur."

Thank 0bammy that could never happen here! We have clearly defined definitions of terrorists here.

Iran needs to get their story on Neda’s death straight. Their ambassador to Mexico is accusing the CIA:

http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/washington/2009/06/neda-cia-cnn-killing.html

Interview between CNN’s Wolf Blitzer and Iran’s Ambassador to Mexico, Mohammad Hassan Ghadiri (exerpt):

BLITZER: “Are you seriously accusing the CIA of killing Neda?

GHADIRI (through translator): We say that the bullet that was found in her head was not a bullet that you could find in Iran.

These are the bullets that the CIA and terrorist groups use. Of course they warned that there would be a bloodshed in these demonstrations and then they could attribute that to the Islamic republic. This is part of a common act of CIA in various countries.

BLITZER: Do you really believe that, Mr. Ambassador?

You’re a distinguished diplomat representing Iran. This is a very serious accusation that you’re making, that the CIA was responsible for killing this beautiful, young woman.

GHADIRI (through translator): I’m not saying that the CIA had done this. There are different groups. Could be intelligence services, could be CIA, could be the terrorists.

However, these are the people who do these things.”

PERSIA AZADI !

Wow, the unintended consequences of electing a big fat Zero.

Let's hope and pray all this is true, and this reawakening really happens, though it strikes me as too good to be true. But still... Wow!

Odd.....I thought she was shot in the chest. These jackasses can't even get their lies straight.

If anybody believes there was a "bullet found in her head" after seeing what is clearly the spray of an exit wound on the ground in the video they must be stoopid enuff to have voted for Zero. Not to mention that the trajectory of a shot from a rooftop entering the upper midchest of a standing woman would have carried the bullet to rest in her cranium is less likely than the bullet that entered Kennedy's back and exited his neck and waited a second before backing up and turning 60 degrees then going on to enter Connally's chest and ending in his leg. The "leaders" of the world really try my patience. If they will glibly lie about things that are so obviously lies what the hell else are they lying about?

“Iran is now saying” is exactly like “obama is now saying”... both are satanic worshiping evil and both spew nothing but hate and lies about anything or anyone good.

My generation was brought up to fear and hate the Russians (Commies). Indeed there was an enemy but it was not the Russian people. It took me some amount of time and learning to be able to separate the two.

I see similarities in the Iranian situation. The enemy is crusading Islam, not its captives.

But can the Zero contain them when all hell breaks loose?

A Stauffenberg-like patriotic colonel would be his assassin.

Don’t blame yourselves for electing Zero.

The CFR put him there on purpose.

Swathes of Iraq, and the entire lands of Persia, Afghanistan and eastwards from there are all non-Arab lands corrupted by Islam.

If ever these lands are awakened to their past glory, the Arabs will have a lot to fear.

Agreed. The scientific advances that Islam has claimed for its own were Persian or Assyrian first.

Besides Iran, the Persian heritage is embedded in Iraq and Afghanistan, and were it to be rekindled, a revolution unheard of in scope could occur."

Its about time someone in the media covered this aspect of the story. I have a couple of Iranian friends who identify themselves as Persian. They utterly loathe Islam and tell me that most Persians do as well. According to them, Islam was forced upon them by "the Arabs." Persians are also quite disgusted and angry with Jimmy Carter specifically and the Democrats in general for what they did/have done/are doing to assist the Islamic Revolution in Iran. Things could get very, very interesting if Persia re-emerges. This could be an answer to the question of radical Islamic terrorism.
