WESTWOODAmerican icon and pop singer Michael Jackson died on Thursday, June 25, according to breaking reports. TMZ first reported that Jackson, 50, passed away.
Jackson was known for his slew of popular songs over the last four decades, including "Thriller" and "Billie Jean" and for his now-legendary mini-movie/music video for "Thriller" which is still a very popular song and music video today, more than 20 years later.
Jackson was also known for his singular antics off the stage, including his wearing of pajamas to court appearances and apparently dangling one of his children off of a balcony.
According to available information, authorities responded to a call that Jackson was in distress early on Thursday afternoon, and soon after transported him to the world famous UCLA Medical Center.
MichaelJackson.com reveals that the singer and proclaimed "King of Pop" was scheduled to perform in quite a few concerts in the United Kingdom between July 8, 2009 and March 6, 2010.
Jackson would have been 51 this August.
He's facing a bigger justice now.
Like someone else said, what about Crap and Tax or AbysmalCare?
I have a computer game called Plants vs Zombies. There is one level where there is a Thriller-like Michael Jackson zombie surrounded by zombie dancers. Pretty cute.
What melanin? Did he have any left?
“There will be 24/7 of this for months- while that monster in the White House is destroying us.”
And while people in Iran are slaughtered. Honestly, are entertainers, American Idol, and a 10-mile radius of their hometown ALL that people care about????
Jeez Louise!
I heard someone today tell me, when I mentioned Iran, that they “don’t pay attention to the stuff over there” and completely brushed it off. My family doesn’t even want me to talk about it. It’s like they don’t care!
This is SC Governor Sanford’s lucky day. Now he is off the front page.
He brought up my high school in Holly Springs.
Fox just reports. You decide who is more worthy.
Add to it ‘Celebrity’ Crazed.
In many respects, this is very tragic. Michael has led a tortured life since his golden period in the 80s and just kind of went off the deep end and weirded out.
My thoughts and prayers go out to the Jackson family as well as his children. I wish them all well.
Whatever we may or may not have thought about Michael Jackson during his life, he is at peace now. Let’s leave him that way.
How can he compare the two? Michael Jackson's antics weren't about to ruin the country.
Ed McMahon
May God rest his soul despite your cold, callous, uncouth, no respect for the loved ones, no time to grieve remark!
Rumors are that Jeff Goldblum fell to hsi death. True or not?
The first headline I read on yahoo news said he was rushed to the hospital. I just figured it was another one of his publicity stunts.
The first thought that went through my head was, “He deserves to die, after what he has done to children”.
Wow, then a few minutes later I saw that he died. I feel guilty for having those thoughts. Called my daughter and niece, and they both told me that those are normal thoughts, considering that we all are sure he was a pediphile.
Someone, validate my thoughts, PLEASE. Or tell me I’m a horrible person for wishing in my mind that someone would die.....whatever....I just feel weird about this.
Isn't Jackson number 1 of the next group of three (Carradine, McMahon, Fawcett)??
As someone born in 1982, and having grown up in the shadow he cast of popular culture, I can say, for whatever it’s worth, he was HUGE. A celebrity icon par excellence.
Also a good cautionary tale. Don’t abuse your kids, elsewsie they might carry on the tradition; fame is untlimately empty; etc.
Rumors are that Jeff Goldblum fell to his death today. Anyone know if this is true?
do do dodo...
