WESTWOODAmerican icon and pop singer Michael Jackson died on Thursday, June 25, according to breaking reports. TMZ first reported that Jackson, 50, passed away.
Jackson was known for his slew of popular songs over the last four decades, including "Thriller" and "Billie Jean" and for his now-legendary mini-movie/music video for "Thriller" which is still a very popular song and music video today, more than 20 years later.
Jackson was also known for his singular antics off the stage, including his wearing of pajamas to court appearances and apparently dangling one of his children off of a balcony.
According to available information, authorities responded to a call that Jackson was in distress early on Thursday afternoon, and soon after transported him to the world famous UCLA Medical Center.
MichaelJackson.com reveals that the singer and proclaimed "King of Pop" was scheduled to perform in quite a few concerts in the United Kingdom between July 8, 2009 and March 6, 2010.
Jackson would have been 51 this August.
I have a feeling that when the true story of Micheal Jackson is told, it will make the MLK family look like pikers......
It was Ed McMahan, first.
I hope he finds the peace he was never really able to find in life.
I enjoyed his music when he was a black man, before the metamorphosis into an old white woman..
Fox News will be calling out the big guns tonight I guess.
As a good Muslim, I’m sure he’s already in heaven with 72 boys.
Why is this more important than cap and tax and Obamacare?
Why is he, a child molester, more important than Farah Fawcett and Ed McMahon?
Fox has jumped the shark on this one.
America is going down the tubes.
Sure you weren’t listening to a story about the GOP?
LOL....good one.
R.I.P. Michael...you were flaky and i don’t know what your life was like...but i could never deny that the “Off the Wall” album was brilliant.
There’s a crowd/mob gathering at the hospital. If this group would loot and riot after WINNING the NBA Finals, imagine what they’re going to do now that Michael’s dead? LA riots for anything. Hope the cops are ready...
It’s Bush’s fault!
I am sorry but the news coverage is abysmal for its pervasiveness - he was an entertainer past his prime and newsworthiness. We have a lot more problems that are worthy of coverage far more than this (sorry) has-been. People are talking about McMahon, Fawcett and Jackson, what about the DC Subway deaths, the Iran Protesters like Neda? WE NEED PERSPECTIVE not breathless adoration of a new corpse! RIP but really, lets genuinely MOVE ON!
....just reported, someone pulled a fire alarm in the hospital.....such nice people in LA
Well he won’t BS the judge he’s standing in front of NOW !.......
Melanin?
You nailed it.
You’re right. There will be 24/7 of this for months- while that monster in the White House is destroying us.
indylindy,
They Told Him Don’t You Ever Come Around Here
Don’t Wanna See Your Face, You Better Disappear
The Fire’s In Their Eyes And Their Words Are Really Clear
So Beat It, Just Beat It
You have a point....although Michael did all he could to get rid of his.
How much melanin is in a plastic nose?
(hope there were no wasteful expensive medical procedures done on him)
They better make damn sure they did everything under the sun to save him, that money grubbing family, who lived very well off him, are probably on their way to their attorney’s office as I type.
I wonder who will inherit the Elephant Man’s parts?
