That’s right.
The sad truth is, tyrants never rest in their efforts to subjugate the unwashed. The passage of the 17th only greased the skids to make their job a little easier. Not to say the 17th shouldn't be repealed but IMHO, our would-be masters would surely have found another way around such a trifling thing as State Sovereighty and a limited feral government.
