A woman left her baby on a Metra train Tuesday but immediately called police when she realized her mistake, allowing officers to reunite mother and child soon afterwards.
The woman stepped off a Union Pacific North Line train at 6:11 p.m. in North Chicago and quickly realized she had left her baby on the train in a stroller, said Judy Pardonnet, a spokeswoman for Metra.

Heightened awareness ;)
Wow, am I relieved that I wasn’t the only sleep deprived crazy Mom.
I went out to the store and got a few blocks from home and realized I left my firstborn infant napping in his crib......I ran all the way home half hysterical when I realized. I was shaking so much I never even went to the store that day. Sounds like this mom only got a few steps, not a few blocks. (putting MY stone down and walking away)
Whoa!
No you weren’t! lol
Well there you are.
Exactly.
ROTFLOL!!!!!
I LIKE that.
When I had kids, I just assumed the mentality that for the next many years, what I want gets put on the back burner. They'll be grown and gone before I know it and that I can manage living like that.
Fast forward several years....... They're grown and two are now in college, the third on the way next year and I'm trying to figure out where the time went.
And you know something? I survived!!!!
