It's a two-prong approach: Domestically, Obama is following the Cloward-Piven strategy of bankrupting the government and destroying the economy. Internationally, Obama is alienating all of our allies and propping up all of our enemies.

Night falls on America.

The opposition leader and election winner, Mir Hossein Mousavi, has said he will accept martyrdom. He is all in, and with luck, the demonstrators will soon be. Imagine what would happen if the regime topples.

Yah, it's all about us..
Get real.. Someone is smokin some bad dope.

The one thing that makes no sense to me. I can understand his quest for absolute power, but if the dims bankrupt the USA, they will have destroyed the last great hope of the world. Then where will they go?

American Jews voted overwhelmingly for Obama. Few seem to have buyers remorse. If they are OK with him selling out Israel I wonder why I should be worked up about it.

You shouldn't, who knows, his foreign policy may work out well for America. Lot's of people support it.

I've asked this question over and over......What happens to their children, their children's children?

I do not understand such thinking.

Living in Texas, as we do, a lot of liberalism doesn't make sense.

I've been reading Atlas Shrugged, and she makes some excellent points. The looters and moochers continue to try and steal the fruits of labor, believing that people who produce will continue to do so, no matter what obstacles are placed in their way.

Whenever I travel to a "poor" part of town, I see a few businesses with security cameras and bars on the windows. Whenever someone gives up, after being robbed and burglarized multiple times, television news will reliably run a story about the poor people who have no place to shop anymore.

A large food chain kept a branch of their business open in a poor part of a city. I went in there and every day, the cookie aisle had roughly one third of the bags torn open, a handful of cookies taken from each bag. People strolled the aisles, munching cookies, sometimes shopping, sometimes not. On the beer aisle, there was seldom a full six pack, but empties were strewn all over the store. For several blocks around the store, you could see shopping carts either abandoned in ditches or being pushed around by transients. The store tried unsuccessfully to keep graffiti off the walls. The food chain finally gave up and closed the store.

The people in the neighborhood threw a fit. They didn't see the function of the store as being to provide a service for a profit. They saw the store as a big free gift center that owed them everything, while they produced nothing but destruction.

We're closing in on two full generations of the welfare state. What I'm saying is that this is not a rational motivation, or at least, a well thought out one. 0bama is having his strings pulled by someone else. He's happy as long as he gets the perks of the presidency.

Although he pays lip service to the poor, he is more akin to Louis XVI, and cares not about the actual state of the country, as long as his party can continue unabated.

Unfortunately, through the welfare state and the bastardization of our education system, we have a significant part of the country that no longer sees a connection between production and consumption.

They abort their children.

If they can kill their kids and call it a "right," they can kill your country and call it "progress".

Bill Ayres, Jeremiah Wright, Saul Alinsky and all his other extreme leftist mentors were not incidental acquaintances, as his supporters would like you to believe, but rather formative in, and consistent with, his ideas and ideals. This radical Left crowd has a history of anti-Semitism, anti-Israel and anti-United States, and they support every totalitarian regime that lines up against us.

... but then we knew this, and far worse, before the election and were unable to make the case with the electorate.

The question is, "Waddawedo now?" None of our "GOP Leaders" will raise his voice in meaningful opposition except perhaps Newt Gingrich. Perhaps in 2010, we can put in a GOP majority to hold this man in check ... but if it is the usual cast of RINOs, that won't help a hell of a lot.

We need the next Eisenhower, but so far all we're getting is General Custers.

“Atlas Shrugged” is a great book.

However, Rand’s “Fountainhead” is in many ways an easier read, and makes her points better, I believe.

I recommend them both.

They don’t believe that they will bankrupt this nation. I think it comes down to what the left believes about wealth. They don’t see wealth as being created by free market economic activity or being destroyed by government interference. I think they view wealth as a finite resource that they can dole out and even the playing field. It’s a complete misunderstanding of the entire concept.

You can't make the case when the Republican candidate and the GOP put the issue off limits.

Favorite 0bama words “Sustainable” “unsustainable”
Democrats do sustainable things while evil Republicans love unsustainable projects
